So does anyone know of a threaded tactical barrel that works consistantly with detonator slides. Preferably the Costa one?

To be fair from what i can see they come with the VTAC sights as well so effectively your getting a $70 set of sights thrown in. disregard im clearly loosing my mind

Nashville Airsoft has them and even after customs and postage from the states mine cost a lot less than that.

Might be worth seein if you can get the little wire guide/cover as seen on the SOCOM and apparently quite useful for anyone planning on front wiring?

Brilliant, note to self do not use a certain combat shop in the south near Portsmouth again. So realistically rewire and hope for the best? Which is annoying as I paid for the techs time to fix the problem.

Right so I'm having some (more) issues with my moneypit of a CQBR. Having straightened out the stocktube the gun is still locking up in semi although running fine in auto (for info it is popping the standard 20A fuse every time it locks up and the motor can be heard stalled and trying to turn). The gearset is a brand new set of prommy balanced gears, the motor is a natty little handwound tanio koba number and at the same time as putting the stocktube back at a 15 degree angle my local airsoft shop apparently sorted out the earths on the wiring. Any ideas? Apologies for the thread hijack

You probably know this richard but he's got an AWS forum on airsoft mechanics, might be worth posting on there mate asking what's occurring with your £1000 order as after 3 months of no gear I'd be looking at legal action! Although saying that PsypherVIII hasn't been online since may 24th.

Sent AWS several emails from my work and civvie accounts. Would be nice to actually get a response at some point. Although having said that I love the way they're using RichardY's Stealth ECU video on their frontpage whilst thoroughly refusing to build the units he's most interested in.

Looks good, couple of questions, I assume this is a MICH only thing or is it adaptable to things like an IBH etc? How well does it play with comms set ups (peltors, sordins)? Other than that this looks like a good bit of kit for CQB as I really hate the traditional paintball full face mask.

Tried phoning JDairsoft today as he said he'd have them in by the end of the month as seems par for the course he failed to answer the phone so I'll try again tomorrow. Last time I talked to him he said that they should also have the spoon retention kits in as well.

sorry for the Necropost, just managed to break my first GR-20 trying to take it apart to do some cleaning and discovered the fuse end cap had bound, following a lot of swearing etc finally manged to ge thte thing to pieces, tried to put it back together and long story short seem to have stripped the threads so moral of the story, they ain't squaddie proof (or in this case stoker proof). Other than that I'll be ordering some of the .8 second fused bangs that JD have got coming in as the 2 second plus ones tend to give peple enough time to move clear of the unit before it operates.

I second the above plus without wanting to sound too snotty a lot of their gear is going out to guys on the ground in various hot and sandy hell holes so as a skirmisher I can happily wait for them to get round to me. I've had a least £500 worth of gear off them and they are very good at dealing with people.

madbull non linear aeg spring fits fine mate, m100 gives about 325, m130 gives 360 both of which are pretty stable, about 0.5 fps max variance over a 3 shot string iirc.

Well some notes for those who have these, on a madbull m130 non linear spring this is kicking out a pretty steady 365 fps. The hop needs some attention out of the box, mine goes laser straight for 30 metres and then tends to pull a 75 degree swerve in a random direction. The build quality is fantastic for a sub £100 gun and the hi cap feeds flawlessly.However the release tab is weak and can allow a fountain of bb's to come flying out of the feed port bit if overwound out of the gun.

If you're waiting for an A&K SVD from airsoft world I'd chase it up as they were selling them at the war & peace show, I know cos I picked one up from them. Really impressed with the build quality, not so much with the lack of any form of manual!
