Tanaka M66 4"- rosewood grips, Price Western leather holster....Pretend it's a nickel plated M19 and it's perfecto for a bit o' tunnel ratting with the original 1960s ARVN map of the Da Nang area it's sat on
'Nam Aircrew stylie- Smith M36 (ala Marushin) with real steel speedloader and 15x shells.
Perfect for hiding in my ERDL pockets when I don't want to ruin the look of me STABO with a holster....
Also my new Manix II- which am scary sharp
Couple I've finished as part of my New Year's Resolution to clearout my modern gear from the cupboard.

You might say I've got a bit of a thing for Spydercos!
Some Magpul.... I make no apologies for building the supressed M4 to suit my aesthetic needs, rather than conform to what 'should' be on an MOE PTS etc etc
And some KAC with an AFG
This started life as a Tercel full metal/wood pump action- which is nice but not right for the diddy-bopping down them rice paddies in the Delta.
So I:
~Stripped off the vile orange varnish on the wood
~Left it rough in places to simulate combat usage
~Stained it with dark oak
~Rubbed in about 7 coats of Danish Oil
~Ripped off the 'slugster' sights and added a 1970s 'Speedbead' at the front
~Added a 1960s dated utility strap.
And got something rather more 'battle worn' for use with 'Nam period gear.
Mmm. Not sure about the ATR- it's a bit 'lumpen' in the handle for my tastes.. I'm after a Police, Paramilitary, a UKPK and another Millie with 1/2 serrated edge before anything else.
Well, unless I see something shiny that distracts me and that...rarely...ever....hap....Oooh, look a kitten.
I do indeed- they are superb folding knives made from well chosen materials....Plus I now own both of the knives used by a certain rather discerning Dr Lecter (Both the Harpy and Civilian are mentioned by name in the novel Hannibal)
There's a few more that I've got my eye on too...
