  1. Could you post a few pics of it fitted to a Mk.23 or on it's own? I'm curious as to where/how it fits.

  3. I have recently been having some trouble with the bolt-into-battery trigger disengage safety, there is a rediculous strong spring in the receiver that the bolt works against...I've taken it out although a guide on the KWA forum says this will mess things up and so far I've not noticed any ill effects. I've just got to find it now to weaken/stretch and reinstall...
  4. I had the same problem with one mag the other week and I occaisonally get a 'stuck' mag that resolves itself with a tap. I don't think it's the follower but this crops up mostly when I haven't loaded the mag perfectly so there is a gap or two in the double stack, considering the spring is so strong I think it's enough to distort the BBs ever so slightly if there are gaps somewhere in the stack. I'm using Blaster Devil .28s ....in fact it might be worth if all MP9 users post what brand/weight they use so there is a reference of what the MP9s work well with.

    That's really bloody awesome!
  6. Same temp as you really on the day I picked it up, like I said it shocked the person who was selling it to me (guy who runs the retail attached to my local skirmish site, so it was chrono'd before sale with me present), even towards the end of the mag it was still kicking about 375 and all we were using was regular green gas. Like I said, freak of the batch
  7. Thought I'd drop in here with an update on how my MP9 is going. Picked up an ASG rebrand of a KWA, turns out it was the freak of the batch doing 390 on green out of the box where all the others were doing about 370. A Dangerwerx valve is ordered and as I'm installing find my springs have snapped. Order some of the Action ones and install them, making sure to use 2 part Instant Clear Araldite to secure the springs at the cylinder posts. Having read the MP7 thread where another member reported good performance using .28s I loaded up with that weight of ammo, gassed up on propane, kept th
  8. Has anyone had any issues with finding the cylinder/piston springs getting chewed up up? I found one of mine had gone when installing the Dangerwerx valve, seems that they can ride up on the posts in operation and ping off. When I get my replacements through from parcelfarce would it be advisable to add a drop of araldite/super glue to the springs to stop them sliding off the posts?
  9. Bit of a necro but did anything ever come of this in terms of airsoft varients?

What's the C rating on your 7.4v pack? Generally, a 20C 7.4v lipol should perform similarly to a 'large' 9.6v pack, it's more about the motor not being throttled due to a lack of A from the battery than volts sending the ROF any more crazy than a 12V pack NiMh would do (11.1v pack peaks at 12.75v depending on cells, while back a member called Stealthbomber compared an 8.4 to a 9.6 and the increase was 2rps so you can more or less work out what increase you can get if you know what your RPS is now) The ICS Turbo 3000 is more a torque than speed motor so even with a unregulated 11.1v the on
  11. With any luck it should, I think there was a mass outcry of "Whhhhy?" when people discovered the proprietary hop unit/barrel so by the time the LSW was released it was modified to accept standard barrels. I can't see ICS producing an L85 and L86 specific hop unit so all post LSW release SA80s should be 'standard' barrel compatible.
  12. You might want to check your hop unit first. Depending on the 'gen' of the L85 you might be able to fit a normal inner barrel or you might need someone to machine some C clip lugs into a standard barrel for you. My L85 was one of the first in the UK and I found the inner barrel had C clip groves that were wider than normal and further up the barrel. At present I have tried a PDI 6.05 472mm barrel (bit shorter than stock, you can fit a 509 though this will be ever so slightly into the flashider) and I've got a Madbull 60 degree rubber running with a black H nub, I've previously tried a
  13. The only other thing that comes to mind is the upper and lower receiver contacts managing to seperate. The design has some inherent upper/lower flex, which is why the upper receiver electrical contacts are sprung loaded but they only go so far. I would test this by flexing the gun, or the upper away from the lower clockwise and see if that inteferes, if it does then check that the upper contacts can move down fully. You can mod the housing by filing some of the plastic away too to allow the contacts to sit lower. Only other things that spring to mind is potential shorting of the connectors
  14. Check your motor tab connections, had similar happen with mine every now and again.
  15. Any trouble fitting the MIAD?
  16. They are pretty good although from time to time I've had to ask them to supply the tracking info for my package. I've found that over time they tend to work out a bit cheaper than RW/WGC. When you order your AEG send them an e-mail to a scan of your UKARA paperwork or site membership details as when I ordered a USP they wanted to know about licenses so they are aware of the regulations in the UK but will two tone and take paypal unlike Redwolf where I believe you can only do direct bank transfer for RIF orders unless they have changed that.
  17. Hwagan - guess you're not the only one thinking "Whhhhhy?" over the externals?

  18. Is that an issue UBACS or a commercial replica? Thought the wicking bit on the torso was brown....
  19. I am using a component shop 9.6v Sub C 4300mah NimH pack, fits in no problems. I've actually wrapped mine in a few layers of electrical tape to try and make it a slightly snugger fit and to hide the luminous green/yellow colour. If you pop the front plate/cover off the foregrip (use a flat head screw driver) you can then add some foam to stop the battery sliding and forwards, I used some sponge spray painted black and you can't tell it's there unless you're looking for it once the cover is replaced. Technically, you can fit up to 12v 4/5 SubC 2200mah pack in there or almost any decently si
  20. Yeeaah, I need to sort my chinstrap out, was fine at the start of the day but despite being taped up something got slack somewhere. I'm also using a Warrior Centurion chestrig/back panel combo and while it's can carry just as much if not more than my older vest I think I need to have a play with the adjusters some more to pull the front out so I can use all the mag pouches. Finding open tops a bit...weird at the moment.
  21. By all means they can take up to M16 length barrels inside but you'll have some of the inner barrel showing within the flashider, something I'm not a fan of personally.
  22. Ah, I thought that you'd just sling it around but I get what replen idea. And the Aliens Hudson was the one I was referring to, think it's the way you're standing in the first pic as well as the dob off inverted knife that made me think of one Hudson's first major lines "I'm ready, man, check it out. I am the ultimate badass! State of the badass art!You do NOT wanna *fruitcage* with me" Of course Arnies' swear filter makes that particular line a little more surreal...
  23. Darkchild, were those pics taken just before Private Hudson speech? And how accessible are those back mounted bandoleer pouches? Looks good for crawling about with. I really need to get to a skirmish...I refuse to play dress up in the back garden.
