Now that I'm done with military impressions I've decided to build a kit based on what I'd use if I were one of Juan Cabrillo's gun-toting shore ops crew members. This was totally up to me so I use what I have lying around. I need to get a new chest rig because my GP pouches interfere with belt-mounted magazine draw. I think I'll go BFG. G&P based Barrett Rec7. I added a 2" extension to the Madbull Rec7 kit to end up around the correct 16" barrel. I have a 6.03mm AK length tightbore running into the flash hider.

I think I may have the only one of these on Arnies at the moment. G&P based Colt lower, Barrett Rec7 upper. Would have gone full Barrett, but I like the G&P base gun way too much. I've gotten tired of military impressions and decided to emulate some of my favorite fictional characters instead.

The RIS II is either MB or SOCOMGear. I can't remember. I seem to have gotten lucky with the finish on it, though. It looks like the barrel nuts are the same. I looked on DD's site and it says that the Omega X uses their "Bolt Up" mounting system, which is the same as the RIS II. If that's the case, then I have the G&P spec nut.

I have a question that you guys may be able to help with. I'm getting bored of my Block II setup and am considering changing into a Barrett Rec7. The issue is that I'd need to add a Madbull 9" Omega X rail. Will this fit a G&P upper receiver thread? I'm not even sure how those mount. I have the G&P barrel nut for my RIS II, but I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. And since this is a picture thread, here are some (pretty awful) pictures of my rifle as it stands.

How was the blank-firing integrated into the scenario? Both in terms of safety and gameplay.

I don't think my scope is a Hammers, or if it is it must be rebranded. It's a Centerpoint 1-4x. I was at the surplus store picking up a new TLR-1 for my Glock and ended up taking this home.
