  1. Diemaco, What mount were you using? Can you post a specific link to it?
  2. Diemaco, The dot is well below the line of the iron sights! Plus, the peq box, not to mention the knobs on top, will also be blocking over half of the lense. So, how on earth can he use it? If he looks through the iron sights he will look through the top third of the lense and the red dot will not be seen.
  3. SoftairGuy, Nice gun. However, you need to get an Aimpoint or Knights type mount for your Aimpoint because it's useless otherwise. See G&P or TGS.
  4. Shouldn't you have a silver bolt carrier not a black/parkerised version. As far as I'm aware only AKM and onwards have blacked out bolt carriers.
  5. USPc available in .45, .40, .357Sig and 9mm
  6. Thanks Evil, and the same to you. I'm 30 but still have the mentality of a child EDIT: thanks full metal.
  7. Yeah. What is it? 'Belt of power' or something!
  8. Maybe mr. pudin' has a sense of pirate airsoft humour? Seems perfectly normal since it's airsoft. A fine motley crew. Where are the Ninjas?
  9. You should paint the whole thing otherwise what purpose does it serve? p.s. I don't like part painted guns - no offence. Good for snow maybe.
  10. It's in the shadow between him and the guy with the AK on his shoulder.
  11. Definately not a G&P it is either an ICS, G&G or CA. If it doesn't have 'I Chih Shivan/ICS' or G&G down the side then it's a CA.
  12. I'm sure you realise it, but get an L85/86. Bowman headset as well. Plus, if you splash out a bit more you can actually get the PRR radio on ebay.co.uk at the moment. Bayonet for said rifle. Scrim net over helmet and inner tube around rim. Norwegian top. Northern Ireland gloves. Do the jacket lower drawstring up and roll hem inside. Maybe some US cateyes on the helmet. I believe that we also use the PVS7/14 NVG so you might want to get PASGT/MICH mount set off ebay just for looks
  13. The thing that you are over-looking here is the emulation of real operators. I paint my guns to look authentic and in this case to represent a weapon used by Army SF/Delta in Afghanistan/Iraq(granted I might apply a bit more sand here and there). Soldiers just do not do arty guns - they are soldiers. What you are describing, and which approx 50% of the pics posted on this thread represent, is a 'wall hanger' gun which I am just not about for the above reasons. Only in a few photos(e.g. Philippines) have I seen US soldiers using leaf stencils. This, to my mind, is pointless because any de
  14. Since I'm doing a USSF Afghan look I thought I'd re-decorate.
  15. The Phillips head bolts on the sights are true to the real steel. http://www.hkpro.com/pdw.htm
  16. Whaaat! You must have some kind of freak frame from another dimension. My complete gun is just pure black plastic proven by much holster wear/polishing. Can you post some pics of this phenomena? Very weird!
  17. Mike, Are you talking about a standard Marui frame or something else?
  18. Unfortunately the folding stock is simply not available as a spare part - unless you have good contacts in Japan/HK. You will have to buy it with an AK kit(e.g. Guarder) or buy it second hand as a whole gun or parts. As far as I'm aware there are three manufacturers that make AK47S aftermarket receivers(not whole kits). They are G&G, DTP and PDC all on Wargamers. Only other alternative is to buy said full kit and you get everything you need, however, it's pricey. A fully stocked AK can be easily rewired to hold the battery in the upper receiver cover. All you need is some wire snipper
  19. Some of the fake bolts are silver and some are grey/gun metal depending on manufacturer. Some people take them out, most leave them in. It's purely cosmetic.
  20. Titleist, Could you not spray the parts in a clear lacquer/varnish to prevent corrosion. I should imagine you could even get the polished parts annodised or some other finish applied that meets your shiny needs.
  21. I once stripped the varnish off an old wooden cellar thermometer when I dunked it in my home brew beer to test the temperature. Put the wood on the floor and drop a load of spanners and what not on it. Should put some good random dents in it.
  22. No Mercy, Have Systema sorted out their red piston?
  23. H&K, Get rid of the sticker!
