Ledpocket, I'm seeing gearbox between the upper and lower, is it a problem? Also, have G&P sorted their script fadeout on the lower receiver where the depth and definition of the lettering lessens? It seems not from your pic.

You don't want to keep going over it with steel wool as you'll just be removing metal and definition. Maybe you should consider getting it anodised or at least spraying it with some sort of clear varnish etc.

Pjones, What you need in that pic is an ashtray and a half smoked cigar with a haze of smoke wafting over the top. Put it in photoshop and bleach the colours for a more authentic look.

Chas, For the pattern you can see, I used Tamiya spray paints and no varnish. Thing is, my philosophy on this is, is that I try to replicate what a soldier would do. Soldiers don't give a monkeys about it being neat and tidy, a work of art etc they want the gun hidden, not a wall hanger.

101matt1, This is not a thread for bog standard pots it is for SF helmets and the like. If it doesn't have velcro, strobes, NV mounts etc etc it doesn't belong. Goggles don't cut the mustard.

Badly Browned, Is your CA RAS pre or post CQBR. Another way to tell is to simply measure the rail heights. If the rails on the upper section of the RAS are the same height as the side and bottom rails then it will be compatible with Guarder and G&P uppers.

Anyone can state what their rifles speed is, even if it is over forum limits, you just can't say how it is achieved. Also, this site is only for airsoft and not real steel or air rifle.

I agree. There is however a 'knack' which some people have and some don't but, of course, a skillset can also be learnt. However, it is plainly obvious that there are better methods to get a good finish, with plenty of advice available on here and elsewhere. Yep, I may have been a little harsh.
