  1. No worries man - I'd recommend switching the fake plastic plates (at least the one on the front) for foam, it's far comfier that way. I used G&P AEG box foam, which was perfect. As for pouches, I'm pretty sure www.uktactical.com do some in ATFG now!
  2. The Baconeers. 'Hibbles' being short for HBLS, which is in turn short for High Bacon, Low Speed.
  3. It's really very comfy - I haven't noticed the lack of material at the sides, it still feels just as sturdy as a regular PC. I can't imagine it'd be as comfy with pouches fitted on the side loops compared to a cummerbund with backing material, but I'm carrying just the 3 mags and nothing else on this, so it works perfectly for me. Either way, it's nicely made and a decent match for Propper ATACS FG, and a very reasonable price
  4. TMC JPC in ATACS FG: The fake plates are rubbish, but I've replaced the front one with some thick foam and it's way better.
  5. For all of £35, I *fruitcage* love this thing. I've replaced the front fake plate with thick foam, and it's now immensely comfy and weighs less than a gnat's dong.
  6. That's what I'm hoping for; I've checked out the installation video on the Samson website, and it seems like it'll be a drop on fit to the stock nut assuming the stock nut is the right size and dimensions; I just need confirmation of that really. Bad news on the Lantac thing though... I had a look through their T&C's and they only described backorders and in stock items... I'm assuming if it says 'Available' that'll mean it's a special order from the US, and I imagine with everyone buying every AR part ever over there at the moment it'll take half a millenium... Balls
  7. Ahhh awesome. They fit using exactly the same method, so I'd say that's enough evidence to give it a go. The Samson rail is £164, which considering is only £60 or so more than a Madbull replica, isn't bad at all.
  8. Apologies for the double post, too late to edit. I've got my eyes on a Samson MFG Evo rail which I've found available in the UK, for a surprisingly reasonable price. However, from what I can tell it doesn't include a barrel nut due to the design mounting onto a stock AR barrel nut. Have any of you guys in the US tried to install something similar, say for example a Troy TRX, with any success? The Samson rail slides over the barrel nut's teeth, so essentially what I'm asking is if the KWA nut is the same spec as an R/S barrel nut.
  9. I'll get some decent pictures of the entire carrier and my general loadout next time I get the chance, but this is the best (and most appropriate) velcro patch I've ever had.
  10. I should have known $36 for a 9.0 Larue Rail was too good to be true :(

They've got 'em on ShooterCB gear, I haven't seen them elsewhere; They've got the standard troll face, forever alone guy, and relaxed guy. Pretty decent patches 'n all.

Sweet, will have to add those to the collection. I should really check the ACM sites more for patches, they do some good stuff.

Picture up in the ATACS thread man if you wish to be slightly amused by velcro based patchery.

  11. I used to use FG ladders on the upper rail of one of my old guns, and my thinking was that if you're holding the gun in a patrol style position (No idea of the technical term, but when you're holding it relatively relaxed and pointing downwards when moving through foliage and the like), that the covers would break up the long black line of the top of the gun a bit. Dunno if that actually makes much of a difference in concealment, but it made sense to me anyway. Thanks man - I'll have a look this evening and see if I can figure something out!
  12. I should be receiving my ATFG TMC JPC this evening, thusly completing my ATFG loadout; I'll get some pictures up if I get the chance. Nice to see ATACS is taking off with the airsoft manufacturers, Flyye and TMC are doing almost everything in AU/FG now
  13. I haven't yet disassembled the hop... Any possibility of a rough guide or a prod in the right direction?
  14. See I've been using .3's, but frankly at my local site I need something with a bit more wallop... .4's are travelling a decent distance, but with no upward flick. I imagine with a bit more hop I'd get a decent bit more range, and with excellent accuracy 'n all. Wondering if another bucking might not be a bad idea. Failing that, I may just invest in a red bean...
  15. Awwww shucks <3 Back on topic, does anyone use anything heavier than a .3 in their LM4? I've bought some Madbull .4's, but the standard bucking isn't really providing enough lift, and I feel I could get another decent chunk of useful range out of it... If anyone runs .36's or .4's, any suggestions?
  16. I'd imagine it's like a normal bean, only more red.
  17. Is buying an RA-Tech M14 a good idea? I'd like it to be a good idea...

I'm sorely tempted to spend my March bonus on the Scout; A full length jobbie is a bit too big for my liking. Does anyone know the part number of the steel trigger housing? I'm not sure if the RA'd one comes with it pre-fitted or not...

      What happened to the MRP?

Haven't spoken to John in aaaages, so I'm not entirely sure. Plus, buying a different AR platform to my KWA and then the mags is just stupid, even if it is an MRP.

  18. It's not the King Arms version, but they do have the 12" by the same manufacturer for about the same price!
  19. http://www.shootercbgear.com/product_info.php?cPath=29_32_140&products_id=4465 For just over £20, seems rude not too really. I'm ordering one on the 26th, I'll let everyone know what it's like. I'm not expecting a lot, but hey, it's not exactly a huge chunk o' cash.
  20. Is it just a case of e-mailing KWA direct? I can't seem to find any LM4 parts on the pro-store website.
  21. Emperor86 did a comparison in here somewhere, and from looking at the pictures it looks like the KSC bolt is only longer at the rear. The nozzles are all compatible as well, so I'd imagine it's simply a case of the KSC being longer at the back, where it shouldn't really matter. At least I'm hoping so anyway!
  22. That'd be easy enough I reckon; As far as I know the front end is all the same, it's just the length that differs... Now to find somewhere that does the KSC lightweight bolt!
  23. Darklite beat me too it - KSC bolt is too long for the KWA receiver. There's also the fact that I don't want to hack up my current bolt, as it kicks like a mule. Ideally I'd have the lightweight one for winter use and the standard steel one for warmer temperatures.
  24. Not neatly, and not to a standard I'd be happy with. I'm sure it's entirely possible, but I lack bits for my dremel, I'm not particularly skilled at using it and I mess up enough with aluminium, let alone steel.
  25. Really I'd imagine it's the steel bolt; It's a lot of weight to shift. It's odd though, I'm not sure if I've got an underlying issue with the valve in the nozzle or something... I don't think so though, as it performs flawlessly at normal temperatures. Compared to the WOCs, it's a lot less work out of the box, the hop system is a lot better and the kick blows the WOC out of the water. Mags are miles ahead as well, although personally I never had a problem with the G&P Pmags but others have done. I've used the WOC successfully in similar temperatures to Sunday, although that required ke
