  1. I think the only bonus the Mac11 has over the MP9 is the mag availability. The M11 I've found is usually for spray and pray and the open bolt means it has a chance of getting dirt and stuff into the chamber. My MP9 should be with me today with any luck, I'm really excited! I just hope the new style hop gets released for it soon.
  2. Cheers for the advice guys, I'll check to see what colour the seal is when I get it and then once I get some cash I'll get some spares for it. It's hopefully not going to break within the first few games so I should be OK until then.
  3. Hi guys, I've just bought one of these with the low power bolt. I can't wait to get it! I've read through this thread and not noticed that many people are having issues of their loading nozzles breaking, yet on other forums it seems to be the norm. Would it be worth getting a reinforced nozzle just in case or do you think the KWA original should be up to the task? Magazines are hard to come by for it as well. £200 posted from HK for 6 mags (I like spares!) and a set of the action nozzle springs. I read about rounding off the sharp edges of the bolt catch and I also read that there is a
  4. So... I buy an MP9 and then realise the mags are out of stock EVERYWHERE! Bugger!

Fair enough, depends how your woodland site is set ou, what is your local woodland site? :P

Ace Combat, it's a mix of open fields, some dense woodland and trip mines! It's not as tactical as other sites, but it's a laugh I go there mainly for the social. I'm thinking the MP9's light weight means I can run quicker through the open, actually shoot stuff in the dense woodland and then proceed to set off every trip mine I come across. Still, I doubt I can top Hwagan's 12 team kills as he set off a trip mine. It was a one life game as well. XD

Well done to him, though if i did that here it would be abuse from the sad bastards that take it way too seriously :P. Still sounds the wrong kind of site for a MP9 to me, needs to be built up or dense, the speed you get out in the open just means the average intelligent player will just lead you with shots and still hit you.

    WE XDM

I've put quite a few shots through mine and the only problem I have is with the hop, with no hop on .28's are attempting to enter orbit! I'm going to try bending the hop arm a bit to try and reduce the hop. Otherwise, It's reliable and a very good sidearm.
  6. I'm in for this!
  7. I don't get the hype surrounding the S&W M&P. Do people have a hard on for it simply because it was used by Chris Costa?

I don't even like coffee, but I drink it now just so I can sit in a shop with the word 'Costa' in massive letters over the entrance.

Now if you sat in one of those outdoor Costa's and saw Haley's comet go by would that be win for you :P

  8. I think I've found the perfect set up for me on my Scar. Although I'd prefer an Eotec sight over the CompM4, mainly for looks though.
  9. Ok, barrels now straight and it's shooting mostly on the sights. I also ran some .3's through it on Saturday and the range is incredible! I think I know what weight ammo to use in this now!
  10. I can vouch for what Hwagan says about his 1911. I saw it in action (oo er) on Saturday and it is a beast. Comparing it to my WE XDM, both pistols seemed to be on par with each other, the XDM only really had the added bonuses of a larger magazine capacity (both gas and BB's) and a more up to date design on the blowback chamber. The 1911 had the advantage of adjustable sights so overall Hwagan was more accurate with his shots. Once I get some spare cash it's going on an Army Kimber!
  11. Sounds logical. I went through all of the mags again last night and they all fired fine, I've not had a chance to look at the barrel yet but I can see that the bucking isn't straight. I'm still amazed at how many shots you can get out of one fill of gas! The mags do just keep going.
  12. AFAIK, all of the TM compatible Glock slides are slightly wider to accomodate the TM internals.
  13. Another thing I forgot to mention was that yesterday when I was messing around with it, I gassed up the magazines and I noticed that it seems possible to "over fill" them. Now, usually they're fine and work OK, however yesterday I took one shot from the magazine and got a big 'POOMF' of gas. This lead to the blowback chamber frosting and me having to wait for it to warm up again (only about 30 seconds or so). I've only had this happen twice and I've put quite a few mags through the pistol. Thinking about It, it could also be to do with the release valves because they've been awful since I
  14. It's currently got a TM rubber in there. I did find another TM hop rubber in my drawer at home so I'll try that one as well and see what happens.
  15. Some adjustable sights would be nice, however I've been playing with it again (I like to make sure my stuff works!) and it looks like the shots are hooking to the right. Looks like I'm going taking it apart and making sure the barrels straight. I'm used to having an M3 light on my pistol (before the Glock got sold) so dark areas weren't a hassle, though tritium sights are cool. The really annoying this is that as much as I love this pistol, it just doesn't fit me like my old Glock did. That's not to say it's an uncomfortable pistol at all, it just doesn't feel... right. The temptation to s
  16. I finally got round to glueing the screws for the hop unit (not enough so I can't remove them though!). Now that the hop chamber doesn't come apart my XDM is chucking rounds out consistently and it is shooting them far! It chrono'd at 250 FPS using .28 bb's in fairly warm weather. It still over hops .25's but running it on .28's is ideal. I'm still surprised by the performance of this gun, I just wish the shots were more on the sights as it does effect accuracy a fair bit when you aim at one person and hit somebody else!
  17. I'm buying Hwagan's tonight. I'm looking forward to it as his was working great.
  18. OK, another update. Tinker night turned into "replace bucking and play" night. A friend of mine gave me a TM (I think) bucking which didn't solve the over hop. It just seems like the hop arm is just too aggressive in it's hoppyness. It settled down over time but was a bit temperamental. I also noticed that there was all manner of ###### in the blowback chamber. I cleaned the piston lid before, but there was still dirt in there. The leaky mags I've now fixed by finally taking the release valve out of the mag and giving it a healthy splodge of silicone grease. I'm tempted to buy a TM mag tho
  19. I'm looking to buy a pair of thePCS trouser, now I'm a big guy and want to make sure I get the right size. The trouble is that the size guide is confusing as hell to someone who doesn't understand it and while Begadi did try to help, they didn't really make it very clear. Anyone willing to help me out with the sizes because I don't understand them at all. On another note, the Begadi kit I do own is awesome. Very well made and well up to the task!
  20. OK, I had my first skirmish with the pistol on Sunday. While the pistol itself is of excellent quality, the WE mags are absolute gash. The two spare magazine I bought both leak from the flow valve through the top where the gas router is. Trying to get these gas tight so far has proven to be quite a challenge. The flow valves are screwed in stupidly tight and I cannot get them to come out. The one mag I have that holds gas is great though, hold enough gas for over two mags worth of shots. The pistol itself was a joy to shoot, however, I found the ideal weight ammo to use was .3 as anyth
  21. Wild_Xylophone? You nutter! Yes it was just a curry, damn friendzone! I did some testing last night (finally!) and while I'm happy with the overall performance of the pistol, there are some things that I'm going to need to do some more work on. I'm going to swap out the stock bucking for another one becuase mine will hop shots nicely as long as you don't go mental. Once you start going rapid fire the hop just gives up and drops the shots. I've also had a couple of double feeds. The barrel also needs a clean as it's got full of gunk, probably just excess oil from the clean I gave it the o
  22. I didn't manage to test the XDM out last night, when a lovely young lady invites you out for curry, you don't refuse! I did some plinking in my room (not with the young lass unfortunately, FOREVER ALONE!) and noticed that even rapid fire causes next to no cooldown. I even managed to accidently vent the enitre mags worth of gas and it barely got cold. I'm really impressed with the mag design. Now, providing there are no further temptations tonight, I'll get some more testing in!
  23. I got my WE XDM and 2 spare mags last week at the War and Peace show. The two spare mags I bought leaked from the valve on the back of the mag! Luckily some silicone oil mixed in with the gas cured this. I personally bought this over the TM because of it being able to handle green gas better. From what I've heard, the TM was designed to handle 134a and that green gas had a tendancy to blow slides off. I gave the pistol a good clean inside and out and it is shooting as far as my old upgraded TM Glock. Looking at the internals, the piston cup looks exactly the same as the Glock so it sho
  24. I used to run my one of these all the time. It easily took 6 magazines plus ball grenades in the grenade pouches. I will probably start wearing mine again soon as they are excellent vests. I ran mine with an LC2 belt and alice pouches and it held everything I needed whilst being extremely light and comfy.
