I went for the silver SD xdm slide, its a kind of matt finish but it looks sweet. Good call getting the SD slide as I think for the marui xdm its DEFO the best choice, it so easy to install and works amazingly well.

Shooters Design XDM kits for the MARUI xdm are drop in fit. Don't think the marui plastic barrel is going to last long in that Nova slide, better think of a way to make the nova barrel fit or get a third party replacement. Its the same for the nova kits for the 1911s amazing frame and slide but the outer barrel supplied is poor.

Hey K.A. I sent you a PM about that, the chamber area of the outer barrel needs to be fitted to the slide, the best way to do this is to remove the slide and place the outer barrel in the position it should be in when in battery, the chamber area should fit perfectly between the lugs and the back of the loaded round indicator at the back of the chamber, but it doesn't so a file is needed to decrease the amount of metal around the back end of the chamber area were the slide meets the chamber (there should be some wear signs inside the slide to show you were to file on the chamber). Do this

FYI the nova steel outer barrel fit the Shooters Design Chambers perfectly.

Hey squad, what are the new Guarder frames like to install, I remember the older ones were beautiful and super tuff but didn't fit the best at the back, the screw that held in the hammer assembly was not in line with the screw hole on the frame. Was thinking of a new Glock but was going to wait for a gen 4 frame to appear but might just use either a guns modify frame or the new guarder frame, what do you think squad?

Hey Squad Another sweet kimber, you better get a nice wooden rack to hold all your 1911s. The problem with the Nova outer barrel is that there is a fitment issue around the chamber area which is easily fixed with a quick file around the back left side of the chamber to make it fit. Any one else have problems with SD steel barrels not fitting nova bushings?

I Didn't install anything, its completely stock. I must be lucky I suppose.

Bought mine when they came out first, don't really shoot it much but have put a good 1000 rounds through it and its still in perfect condition, my 2 mags are leak free as well.

kwa g19 for me is still king of the airsoft glocks. The stark glocks can use Marui recoil rods and springs, so a guarder 150% spring and guide rod will make a huge difference with the slide action and will probably get rid of the problem of the slide not returning to battery.

Yea I defo think the stark looks the most realistic with its colour tones and trade marks but I think as far as build quality goes there are better airsoft Glocks available. I think you know which one I would go for. A big thing for me on any pistol is how well the finish hold ups and for me the starks finish doesnt hold up well at all. You could if you wanted write your name on the side of a stark glock frame with your fingure nail with very little pressure as the polymer/plastic used is soft and cheap and the paint on the slide starts to scratch easy anuff as well.

Sorry Nonex, I didnt like the finish thought it looked a little untidy, with little scratch marks a seem lines everywere, the markings on the sights were as bad as the stark g18 I had and scratch off with ease. Also I didnt like the slide action, it feels slugish, I changed the recoile rod and spring, filed the railes on the slide which had a lot of mold imperfections and things seemed to improve some what but still not as nice as it should be (no were near as slick as a Marui Glock). The price is good but I think I would spend my money on a WE g19 Gen 4 instead.

I dont shoot it much, bought it for my collection, It shoots well but have read some reports on Arnies about broken hammers etc so dont realy want to risk it seeing as it a collection peace but there are upgrade parts available to make it more solid internaly. Its beautifull to look at with a very nice steel reciever and quality external parts, one of the best looking replicas around IMO.

LOL, funny stuff FireKnife. I cant spell so I cant say much. Any how was about to pick one of these up the other day to compliment my KWA mp7, WE c36, KSC USPC and my vfc mp5 but felt in the end I would have to much HK stuff in my collection, but as far a performance goes its seems solid, defo more solid then the VFC mp5 which im scared to shoot now in case it breaks, the recoil is sick and the polimar body is very realistic and so far they seem to be holding up well (touch wood).

Well done squad on another top build, that s70 is SWEET!!! Love your atention to detail, the black outer is a nice touch as well as the silver trigger, it goes well with the silver chamber and hammer. Defo the best series 70 build I have seen. Good Job Buddy.

Dont know why people care so much about the stark g19, I had 2 for a couple of weeks, wasnt impressed with the finish thought they were ruff looking, and the slide action sucked. Sold them on for a low low price.

By the way, solved the NOVA outer barrel problem, I ordered 2 SD barrels and threw the NOVA barrels over my back wall (someone elses problem now!!)

Very very nice, that series 70 is super slick, the delta hammer and grips look amazing, defo one of the nicest 1911s on this forum, are the sides polished are is the finish on the gun shiney all over ?. Iv made a load of custom 1911s in the last 4 years using the marui meu as a base, hurricane kits, guarder kits and nova kits. I had to do so fitting hear and there but never to the lugs, the only other time I had a problem with an outer barrel not fitting was with a guarder trp kit but I just used a marui stock barrel from a night warrior which was silver and It looked the part. How do I resolve this problem with out buying more Shooters Design outer barrels, sand down the lugs?

Thanks Squad 701 for the reply, the SD outer barrel fits and functions perfect so ill keep that in place, but I have another 2 kimber warriors to build in the next week and only have 1 SD barrel left, so I have to find away for the Nova barrel to function, on closer inspection I noticed that the only visible differance in construction between the two (besides the barrel markings) is that the nova barrel has a narrower inner section were as the SD barrel has an openish inner section allowing more freedom to the inner barrel. The Nova outer barrel looks the same as the SD outer barrel (slightly dif markings) but for some strange reason I cant get the Nova barrel to work and the SD barrel fits and works perfectly. Any suggestions please?

Just made a new kimber warrior with the new nova kit, kind of like there old kits better without the extractor thingy, dont like the fact that some of the BBU has to be cut of in order to fit. Plus the nova outer barrels are a pain to fit, so much so I used a shooters design outer barrel I found and it work like a (wet) dream. The old kits were perfect except for the rear sight (which were not kimber warrior style), But if you make a 1911 using the new Nova kits beware of the outer barrel it will jam and cause problems.
