  1. Judging by the horribly mangled translation posted by The Insider: Some users in Taiwan have modified their CAM870s with new barrels and firing pins to fire real shotgun shells. This has resulted in someone associated with APS (the person in charge of APS Taiwan?) being prosecuted, presumably for importing or manufacturing non-weapons readily convertible to weapons or something similar. APS HK gives notice that they will discontinue the sales of CAM870s and accessories until the internal structure can be redesigned to make it harder to convert to fire real ammunition.
  2. Just absolutely gorgeous. Knowing the effort that went into this just makes it better - looking forward to seeing it posed with your Haley Kalashnikov soon!
  3. Anyone know the proper way to sling a Block I SOPMOD?

those are just some from off the top of my head... a common theme is the sling is mounted to the stock - have yet to see a block 1 with a buffer tube sling mount... not saying it never happened though!!

  4. Probably an Xtreme .45, a rebranded WinGun. No, I don't know why G&G are sullying their good name with these things either.
  5. Squad, do you know if the Papago will have Nova-style on-frame rails? Have you seen the Trigger Happy M1911A1 and Series 70 kits?
  6. PTS' EPF is the obvious choice, IMO.
  7. The BUIS on the A1A RMR mount are so pants-on-head retarded it's actually kind of impressive. That's a sight radius of what - 1.8"/4.5cm? Even a Detonics has considerably more than twice that; the factory Glock 19 has considerably more than triple that...
  8. How much modification is required to turn a RS M16 lower receiver into something GBBR-compatible? Which GBB platform are you going to use - WE or WA? I'll bet that this was was one of the guns sold by ZiB Militaria. In Germany the laws are slightly different to the UK or US; you can purchase unmodified select-fire lower and upper receivers for display without a firearms license - it's the barrel that's the controlled part and has to be deactivated.
  9. 130m/s with 0.43g BBs is 3.63J, the equivalent of 625fps with 0.20g BBs. It's not all that surprising it's reaching out to 90 meters with that kind of power.
  10. Yeah. As the sole airsofting Jew... Do I say anything?
  11. Yes, although it may be even cheaper to get CO2 refills from other places, like bulk gas supply places (what in the UK would be called 'plant hire' shops would be able to tell you where your nearest one is), home brewing supply places, fire extinguisher service places, and even aquarium supply places. Any online forum for aquariums, paintballers or home brewers will be able to tell you how to find the cheapest CO2 refills local to you.
  12. Don't use the 88g ones either, NonEx. A paintball bottle (20oz or more, you can get them in a huge variety of sizes) is much cheaper and much better in every conceivable way.
  13. It's not just you - it's something to do with how the SureFire rail adapter fits the dust cover on the SIG frame (which is itself slanted upwards slightly). You can see the same effect with the same configuration (SureFire P114-C on non-rail P226) on other guns - I particularly like msx361's.
  14. That's actually a drain hole. You can put a bipod stud there (King Arms sell just such a thing) but the stock is so thin there and it's so far down the gun there's not a lot of material to resist the lever action of the rest of the gun. Amazon and Brownells have 'em.
  15. I think it's commonly accepted the only decent way to put a bipod on the wood/fibreglass M14/M1A stocks is Sadlak's QD post assembly.
  16. I'm running a similar set-up and have problems with the Hogues not sitting flush with the frame on the left-hand side. Did you need to modify the frame or the grips to get them to sit right?
  17. This is likely rubbish. They're buying them from a distributor, like every other international retailer. Tell them that TM evidently shafted them, and that they can save a ton of money by buying them from AirsoftWorld for £400 instead. And that that's what you're going to do, too.
  18. This seems the only way it could work, TBH. If you have an absolutely massive single 'track' of BBs (say 300rds double-stacked) the spring pressure required to get them all to feed at 30RPS+ will crush the BBs as you try to put the last few in, not to mention probably bust your speedloader, too. The only way it can work is multiple smaller 'tracks' (say triple or quadruple 100rd single-stacked) feeding successively, one after the other. It would require a lot of moving parts but it could be done.
  19. Has anyone ever used a Bowman radio? Seeing tons of them on eBay, and wondering why I never see them at skirmishes.

The Bowman headsets are all over eBay and also not very expensive. The radios themselves are 2.4Ghz - the same frequency as a lot of WiFi routers, Xbox controllers, all that.

A post on arrse refers to them knocking out Wifi connections. The search engine here is *suitcase* so havn't had much luck but I'd suggest that is the reason they are not commonly used!

  20. That's polishing, not lapping, AFAIK. As per HS5's video, lapping is supposed to be done along the length of the barrel, so that you get a longitudinal finish, rather than around the circumference of the barrel.

  22. Yeah, there are several. Detonator are probably the nicest, but Mafioso Airsoft and possibly others make them too.
  23. Looks like everything players have custom-made is eventually released by a manufacturer. I note that the uppers are drilled for a gas tube, unlike the TM ones, but aren't cloverleaf-drilled. You can tell I'm trying to justify the massive expense I had to go to to get effectively these exact items custom made, right?
