  1. I'm really liking the look of that. what's the battery life like?
  2. I've already posted this in the suppressed guns thread, but: KJW glock 23 KJW threaded barrel for G23 G&G SS-100 supressor (CW) ACM M6 light/laser
  3. I figure this fits best in here (it was a tossup between this thread and the Glock pictures) KJW G23 KJW factory threaded barrel (clockwise threads) G&G SS-100 suppressor ACM M6 light/laser taken in my improvised "light-box". came out quite well considering it's nothing more than an Ikea washing hamper thingy.
  4. I thought that the hop, and quite a few other bits, where TM G17 clones, and it was only the BBU and loading nozzle that where G26 clones? (don't rely on this)
  5. good spot, didn't think of that. and now I feel a little silly.....
  6. are those a set of nunchucks mounted on the back?
  7. Take an empty jack bottle, and put some cold tea in there (no milk) looks like wiskey, tastes awful.
  8. unless I'm very much mistaken, it's a Gerber Mk 2, a popular fighting knife during the vietnam war.
  9. Lightsticks? Standard glowsticks that give off visable light are very easily available from your local outdoors shop, and look pretty much the same. If you want proper Infa-Red (IR) lighsticks they are a little harder to find. They are out there, but there isn't really a civilian market for them (they only work with night vision gear). They are not restricted, just hard to find.
  10. not as nice as many on here, but it does me nicely: KJW glock 23 with stock internals no brand chinese M6 style light-laser Viper coiled lanyard improvised lanyard attachment/grip sleeve, made from cord and bike inner-tube bands.
  11. wish I'd had the choice to take self defence classes in school. I had to come up with the pen trick off the top of my head, while being strangled.
  12. I know a chap who got stabbed in the neck with a biro, and still has the scars to prove it. fortuneately it missed anything important. I'm fairly sure cold steel put something like that hairbrush into production at one point.
  13. I've replaced the pistol lanyard witha coil type (viper not gemtech, since it was all I could get hold of in time for yesterday) And I've eliminated the flashlight alltogether. just didn't need it. having tested the rig out at the weekend, I'm making a few more changes. moving my radio onto the belt (was clipped to my jacket) and adding a pouch for loose ammo storage, so I can eliminate my assault pack.
  14. Both where carefuly measured to provide the length I needed without any extra. maybe I just have long arms? I was planning to tuck the pistol cord into the leg straps of the holster to keep it under control, but I'm not sure what to do with the other. and I think I can probably wrap the light lanyard around the body of the light, and it should be able to rotate in my hand, paying out the cord as I deploy the light. I will have to experiment.... that being said, I should probably put a coil type lanyard or two on the shopping list ASAP.
  15. I'm still using rental primaries so my current rig is for my sidearm only. Belt is a viper security belt. not the best belt in the world, but it was very cheap, and does the job. L-R: spare mag for sidearm in ex-police mag/multitool pouch solarforce L2m in viper torch/baton pouch (with foam at the bottom, because it's too long) lanyard for torch (DIY paracord model) Leatherman core in factory leather pouch lanyard for sidearm (DIY paracord again) Viper holster, which will house my KJW G23 once I pick it up on sunday. Once I get my weaponlight for the glock, the holster is being r
  16. it's worth mentioning that inside of a vehicle also counts as "in a public place", and you don't have to actually have the weapon on your person to comitt the offence. So for example if you had a knife in your glovebox, it would still need to meet the same requirements as a knife in your pocket.
  17. folding, blade less than 3 inches, with no locking mechanism. safest option is something like a swiss army knife. so basically you are right, but also the manual folder shouldn't have a locking mechanism. spring assisted/automatic can get a little complicated. there are some types that are OK (spring assisted) while true automatics are illegal. but since all the legal ones I'm aware of have a lock, I wouldn't worry about it.
  18. how are the KJW G23's when it comes to reliablity and accuracy?
