    Anyone know if you can hard chrome / nickle plate pot metal?

      Possible. Needs various treatments prior to nickel plating. Copper plating e.t.c.

      Yep. Chrome or nickel won't stick directly and needs a copper layer in between. Another option is to have it vacuum metalized.
