  1. I've been seeing more companies that have less than specatcular finish's on their rifles. I remember my own along with others had that issue with the RM4s of last year. You seem to mention that it's minor right now but if it becomes glaringly bad make sure to tell us.
  2. It really bother's me how few airsoft teams build ARs with ambi selectors. From what I've read most gearbox's can accommodate it but it's the receivers that pose the issue. I will be curious on if that makes it more diffucult to get the gearbox out or not.
  3. Ah it wasn't as apparent from a distance but I notice it now. Thank you for saving me time/money.
  4. Could you go alittle more into that? They use the same gearbox and hopup from everything I've seen. And that outside of some markings that the only difference for the airsoft models is the lower receiver and the fact that the Mk17 uses it's own styled magazines.
  5. Richard Y, Did you guys ever find any aftermarket parts that would offer a greater feeling of recoil from this system? I know that the AR15 series has a selection of different springs available to offer more or less recoil but I couldn't find anything on your site indicating that there was anything for the Scar. Also is there any differences in the lower receivers between the Mk16 and Mk17 besides the enlarged magazine well? I may in the future decide to swap out my lower for a black one to match my VFCs but would like to know if I would be able to swap calibers as well without needin
  6. Thanks Puresilver. You confirmed something I had slightly suspected. That it is in every sense of the word a custom piece since something is likely to have been manufactured for this one model. I was just curious on if angrygun or somebody else had designed something to be used in real steel Remmington stocks to widen the options you could use. It will do pretty much everything I wanted my shotguns to do (shells instead of magazine, gas, Magpul SGA set) but damn a grand is a high asking price for a novelty weapon.
  7. Can someone tell me how Ehobbey put this one togather? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/eac-marui-m870-sga-tactical-magpul-custom-shotgun-gas-powered.html#.U9tvgfldWSo I know that the forend required only alittle work but what would have gone in to get the stock to work correctly as well? I recently had a M500 with SGA parts stolen from me (along with a Maruzen with G&P parts) and I've been looking to replace that shotgun and this might fit the bill. Just need to know if it'd be a better idea to buy these parts individually or pay the huge charge that this custom is asking for.
  8. Can anyone atest to the quality of the Laylax aftermarket screws or shell deflector? Got one of these second hand that had a faulty rear half of the wiring hairness (finger's crossed that was all it was) and I'm about to place a order with Eagle6 for the part but I figured to save on shipping I may as well get any Laylax parts that should be picked up. So the shell deflector had snapped off in shipping so I'm curious on if Laylax's holds up as they claim and if there replacement scews or frame lock pin are worth the investment or are just overkill.
  9. Thanks for the tip about the VFC LLM01. Planned on eventually getting one for my G36 (and maybe a L85 if I can flip this F2000).
  10. Thank you both for your help. Cursory google searches did little to answer either of my questions (besides one company saying they did the transplant but than never responding to my inquiry in what was involved in regards to custom shaving grinding).
  11. Hey guys, do you know where to find a dissembly guide for the single optic carry handle scope? Took a bad hit on a corner and when I raised the replica again I noticed my reticule was rotated about 35' I think the inner spring that applies pressure to keep it straight merely lost tension for a moment during the impact and allowed the scope to rotate slightly since it is no longer rotating. The OEM is Umarex (S&T likely although it was advertised as Ares). On a side note has anyone here also experimented on transplanting the internals of the TM Recoil shock into the better body of a S
  12. I agree. Most of the time a argument like that falls short. I can even understand when you drop say close to a grand on a really nice GBBR like a Viper or Bomber. But for a pistol that does seem quite high. They're barrel slide kits are 700$ alone which also seems a bit high. Maybe it's just me but I feel when you get over 500$ invested in a single pistol (not including magazine cost) you start venturing into overkill territory. But I guess I shouldn't be one to talk since i wanna eventually get that Tanaka M327 with the Iron Airsoft metal kit, which will be in the 700-800$ range and ho
  13. I can speak for the Bolt and the ERG. The bolt to me at least feels like a heavy motion but not as quick to cycle while the ERG has a snappy jolt but doesn't feel like it's carrying the weight as far. In my area Bolt's are often used in favor of ERG for people trying to replicate real AR15 since they can get the feeling of the recoil and fire rate more in sync than with the ERG. However I feel my ERG is overall a better preforming gun in every way. Everything feels more solid.
  14. There seemed to have been huge quality control problems with these pistols for pretty much the whole production run of them. Things such as the slide release literally eating the slide away to the point that it can no longer catch to the feed ramp deforming after only a magazine or two out of the box. If you go on the KWA Forum and go into the HK45 section there are just thread after thread of people having issues that new parts simply don't fix. Now a few people seemed to have gotten some that do just last forever but there is a serious issue that happened with the Hk45. Issues that
  15. Have we heard anything about if this model is reverse compatible with the older Marushins that were designed to run off duster or green gas? Just curious since if the pistols does show issues after long term use that may be a alternative to extending it's life. If they work at all that is.
