  1. Kenworth W900

    DMRs

MSG90-ish DMR - now operational thanks to Joker. Needs scope, plus my own lower receiver is still TMG3 grey, needs spraying. Might get RPLR for it at some point.
  2. Wow Beardo, shes a beauty. Real jealous now, to know that these can still be found and that its never me doing the finding. So, that stock, sounds like a damn lucky find. How did you know to look on ebay, or were you just browsing over a long period of time?
  3. I reckon a regular full length handguard in there with the front handguard cap moved forward would be best, since it wouldn't actually make it any longer, but just sit under the gas tube like an AMD.
  4. Yeah, bore and gauge are refering to the same thing, barrel diameter. In fact, sometimes both are used together as in '12-gauge bore shotgun'. A rating of guage is determined by the amount of equal diameter solid (pure) leadshot balls that can be made from exactly one pound of lead. In the case of a 12-guage shotgun, it has a 0.729" barrel diameter, because 12 leadshot balls of that equal diameter weigh 1 pound.
  5. Exactly how my friend wants his that is. And to be fair it does look practical, although not to my personal tastes.
  6. Aye, and even if they are recognisably better, its still gonna take more than that to justify replacing the entire US militarys' M4/M16s, especially since the HK is more expensive.
  7. It wasn't tailor made to suit any nationality, it was tailor made to suit a soldier. In fact the opposite is true, they took an American weapon and 'Europeanised' it, in a fine HK sorta way, e.g. darker finish, more curvacious, more reliable, more expensive. But I think its fair to say that HK knew what they were doing when basing it off the Armalite system. They aren't idiots, they can see that America, one of the largest weapons trading markets (especially in high priced weapons) in the world is gonna like the look of a familiar/proven all-American system but with a sleek modern E
  8. US mil considers new weapons on their technical and practical merits aka their perfomance, they wouldn't care if the 416 was like the M4/M16 or not. Just like when they adopted the M16 over the M14, very different. Made sense for HK to base off proven system and then improve on it though doesn't it? Civi's like a familiar system however -when HK made the 416 they knew that a civi version would be made- so perhaps there is some incentive there. Until the MR series are out we won't know whether the merks, in general, like 'em anyway.
  9. Didn't get them very far though, since the US mil hasn't taken any, apart from tests. Kinda makes Hedganian look right in the first place, as to why it was 'Americanised'.
  10. Sounds rather ominous to me, any chance of some pics before painting too?
  11. That's proper sweet CZ; I love it. Might have something to do with taste in old(er) school(ish) models. I don't normally go for modern at all but I do even love the accessories on that too, mainly the way they are set up. That arrangment screams quality and realsteel to me, not entirely sure why, .
  12. Didn't have any Armalites within my team before, then within the space of a month we got 5, mainly thanks to me, I like to sing their praises way too much. Anyway, heres three of them: A2, XM, 727 (the other two are an M4 and an M733)
  13. How come the reviews section (official reviews area) has not been updated recently? All the old reviews for a lot of guns are there already but surely it could do with an update to include some new models. May I suggest that it would be a good idea for a mod to go through and select some of the most thorough and excellent reviews from the general section and add them to the official page. Models that aren't represented already are things like the SCAR, SIG 55X, MP7, etc. EDIT/P.s. since it is a submit and accept system in place for the official reviews page ATM then maybe an even simpler
  14. I wouldn't normally bother commenting on pistols (esp. ordinary modern european stuff) but that USP is absolutely beautiful Pkekyo. The one in the middle pic is so real-steel looking and generally wonderful, to my mind at least.
  15. Damn Guiness, those guns are like more WW2 than the real ones! Here they are in order of my preference (based on the finished you've applied, not just in general): 1. K98k 2. Thompson 3. Garand 4. Stg44
  16. Well yes, Candyman is an option (and most probably my very best option). But I know that he has plenty enough on his plate project-wise without anymore custom work to do, so at the very least it would mean I may have to wait a few months. I was hoping to do it myself originally and I suspect it probably is possible to complete it myself but I do run the greatly increased risk of acidentally ruining the stock by drilling where I shouldn't or what have you, which would result in the loss of a stock. P.s. Anybody else think its a pressing issue to get a run of TM shotgun tri-cylinders made i
  17. On the plus side that pic does emphasise just how huge SPAS 12s really are. Edit: Does anyone know of anybody with dremeling or pillar drill accessibility and skill to hollow out the neck area of my SPAS stock? I have had the stock and gun ready to go for ages, I haven't got round to getting it attached yet though, its really annoying: P.s. does anybody know if a morticing machine can handle plastics?
  18. The G3 'SAS' is a completely different deck of cards, thats the shorty one with an MP5 'k' front end, in that case it would depend on the length of the silencer. However he is talking about the G3 'SBS', the G3 with an MP5 'SD' front end fitted, which has a standardised length to the silencer, providing its not customised with an after market one. Which means he wants to know the length of a barrel that will stretch from the rear end of the magwell in a G3 right up to the very end of an MP5SD front end.
  19. Yes well, Raco9 and cpilla should be okay since it sounds like they have CA guns. If they get the TM stocks then they should get the best of both worlds combined. .
  20. Sounds like its about time you guys invested in a TM one . I have never had a TM one even get a bit creaky, let alone break.
  21. Heres mine, done today, inspired by the AR57: P.s. the mag release is the button under the scope mount just behind the mag. The mags slip sideways out of the gun, to the left.
  22. LEG-END ftw. I thought they had a thread elsewhere about the 'I am Legend' M4, IIRC they confirmed it was a real-steel.
