jimma
You cant reinvent something that hasn't been invented
Sledge
You're right. There are no gas powered guns in airsoft.
bloodbath mcgrath
paintball is just as good as airsoft when you dont play tournament/speedball also i think it would be a very interesting project and encourage him to try it sledge, were as there may be gas powered guns in airsoft i have found they are very hard to find due to the increasing demand in AEG's, also making it exceedingly difficult to get my hands on a KSC TMP
my_plague_666
2. It is a reusable gas grenade you idiot and it is better and easier to use than a regular grenade because you can reload during a battle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> FAIL red my post, i said 'reuseable' airsoft grenades http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/...il?prodID=22825 basicly, its exactly like what you were talking about only it looks real and most importantly IS DESIGNED FOR AIRSOFT!!! and as for your comment about not being able to reinvent whats not been invented ahem http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/...il?prodID=20499 http://youtube.com/watch?v=PDTveUY0DdY http://youtube.com/watch?v=wwbDtuY68vM many more where they came from. and as for the $500 price tag on the MP5, it'll work a hell of a lot better than this conversion and will be easier, possibly cheaper, more reliable and more fun to shoot. if you have a smaller budget buy a GBB, say a MAC, TM deagle, KWC mini uzi so so many to choose from. in short jimma, you fail, stop posting, its pointless stop trying to make it look otherwise. Samm
So these few strange ones aren't concerned that it's got a godawful gravity fed design and it's probably next to impossible to to get a hop up in it? From the amount of stuff you're going to be replacing, you're not going to have much of the original gun left. You might as well start from scratch.
lewis hiscock
jimma no offence buddy but you need to come down of your pedistool sledge put it best that if he wants to build it he should just get on with it. this is a public forum and the idea of the project suggestions is to put accross ideas that may interest the airsoft community and to gain sufficient help and advice, if a bad idea comes up people will voice the opionion that it is bad , not maliciously but to direct and help the originatior toward a more suitable solution. So there really is no need for childish name calling. The majority of us will tell him he's better off with a GBB from a skirmishing/image perspective not ot mention cost and maintenence. as i said if he's bored and really wants to do it he can but to be honest the idea of converting a paintball gun isnt something that will interest the airsoft world all that much now or ever. Tecro
This gun obviously isn't meant for practicality. He wants to build it to have fun, as a challenge. More so than people saying, "Hey, I want to put this on an RIS!" Or "what battery 2 get?" You mentioned custom airsoft guns. By your logic, they're pointless since you could save yourself the trouble and get a reliable, fully-functioning AK from TM. But some people want to have fun building something. Look at all the cool projects in the forums...the M2, the XM90, the belt-fed SL8...they all could have been replaced with commercial projects, but with time and effort, the builders created unique weapons. And so what if this project is a failure, or is only suitable for plinking? It's obvious it isn't guaranteed to work. At any rate, telling them to not bother trying is pointless. They know the problems. Either give them suggestions or...don't. I'm not saying the project is a smart idea - I think there are cooler projects that could be done with the time - but there's no need to say it. mcnuggets is only looking for suggestions and positive feedback. hardboiledcop
were as there may be gas powered guns in airsoft i have found they are very hard to find due to the increasing demand in AEG's, also making it exceedingly difficult to get my hands on a KSC TMP <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What on earth are you talking about? Absolute tosh. -- Oh and what the hell are you all arguing about, the OP hasn't even made a comment since he posted this thread, either he went off and did it on his own or he decided not to do it. Either way, who gives a *fruitcage*.
bloodbath mcgrath
i can not find a decent gas powered assault rifle or anything for an affordable price[i got a budget]
my_plague_666
then buy a GBB or give up the quest for a gas rifle and buy an AEG. lets face it, converting this will be expensive, time consuming, ugly and VERY inneffective. if you want a gas rifle youre going to need to pay a fair bit. you could always buy an escort gas MP5 from redwolf, theyre only about $
