8tharmy
My gun is shooting 750 - 850 rpm with a stock TM m16 motor, and im looking for a way to decrease the ROF down to 500 - 600 rpm with a 8.4v. What motor or other parts should i get? Will a more powerful spring decrease the ROF? -Heinz
Dock trinE
A more powerful spring will decrease the ROF. But at the same time it will put more stress on the gearbox. Also, if it is too powerful, the motor might not be able to pull it at all. The same thing applies to getting a weaker motor.
greg
Lower voltage battery. Go for a 7.2. Every thing in the gun will say thank you. Fps will remain the same. If you can't find a suitable one, just remove, or bypass, one cell from your current 8.4. Greg.
MDK_Marshal
If you want to keep using the same battery, get some beefy torque-up gears. Element ones are fine, and cheap, too; £20 or so for a set rather than £120? Yes please!
Vsca
why would u want a LOWER rof? surely faster = better?
Rob15
Not everyone thinks that way, people tend to keep their heads down if its 700rpm or 1200rpm, difference is you waste a hell of a lot more ammo with high rof. Lower rof guns should in general be a lot more reliable and last a lot longer than the higher rof equivilents. Guarder high torque motor and 7.2v battery would be the easiest way to take it down a bit.
Stuey
Also, some people want realistic ROF, most more modern guns shoot about 800-900 rpm which is about the same as most airsoft guns on an 8.4v battery. But some guns like the AK47 and MP40 only shoot about 500-600. Wont a 7.2v give loads of trigger lag? Stu
