Pictures of grenades

Recommended Posts

All right people, a quick browse through the picture threads section, and I was disappointed to see no threads devoted to airsoft explosives, so here we go. Be it dummy weight, BB holder, gas holder, or one of those functional BB grenades, post away. :)

Here's a quick shot:

I'll try and take more later this week after my flashbang arrives.

how is that flashbang Charger?  Does it work pretty well?

I've only had it for 29 hours, but so far so good! :)

The build quality is really good, and I think they fixed all the typos that used to be on earlier versions of it.

Devise => Device, ect.

Easy to fill (no leaking), easy to use to fill other things with it (fill tube is very smooth), and the detonator/spoon/pin are all very robust.

Weak point is the finish. It looks and feels good, but it's kind of thin (easy to scratch).

Damn you New York and your crappy fireworks laws, (not like I'm paying any mind to them this 4th of july :whistling: ) and our skirmish site is close to houses, and a school (we got permession from the school) I might try these, do you only need one firecracker, or a lot of them, I'll try to make a few for 4th of july! I doubt I'll have any problems making them, hell I rigged up a a setup for a friends movie, where some M5000's (like 1 fifth an M80) all had a fuse connecting each of them when they detonated, kinda like the trip wire grenade scene in behind enemy lines, was cool as hell, but I used over 500 feet of fuse, and took 3 tries to get it right!

same size, different name!

Also does anyone know where i can get the pull ring type of smoke grenades?

Topic pruned - Please no NOT post details or photos of custom pyrotechnic products, this is against the rules on here. ;)

Yea, can we have some more nice clean grenades in here instead of the homemade suicide bombs. :P

I still couldn't justify myself for spending $20 on a spring loaded dummy grenade. :P The sun project grenade BB holder was all right too look at from afar, but up close it's very plasticky, and my friend broke the hinge in less than one minute when I showed it to him. :P

Haha, I have the same exact one crandall...I love the destraction device also, what is it actually used for though? It says something about filling? Im confused lol, or maybe its just getting too late.

The "GB-Tech Distraction Device" is actually a backup gas can. You fill it up with green/propane or 134a (there's a fill valve on the bottom), and then use it to refill your mags or other grenades in the field. The top part with the pin/spoon assembly unscrews to reveal the charging tube.

I find it to be invaluable addition to my loadout as a GGB and grenade fan.

Thanks, "phish". I think I saw that before, but the website wasn't up yet, and I forgot about it.

Nice, Shao. I have a couple more of those frag grenades on the way, hopefully they'll be here tomorrow. I had ordered a second one a while back too but someone stole it from me at a skirmish! Oh well, now I'll have three at least. Just need some more frag pouches now!

I guess I'll cross post this here for those interested. I unscrewed the bottom off my GB-Tech distraction device/gas charger and measured the thickness of the material. The wall thickness is .105" (2.667mm). Pic:

I think it could handle being shot by your average AEG or GBB just fine. The BB would probably shatter before it dented the can. I'm still not interested in trying it though!

Oh is yours not one of the escort M26A1 gas powered frag grenades? That's what mine are. I really like the escort grenades. Yeah the outer body is plasticy, but it's still pretty durable. The work with propane fine too, though you have to keep them well maintained.

The way the rules work at my local site they've proven to be quite handy. They're not super loud, but they're loud enough indoors, and the BBs bounce around the room pretty well. :)

Oh, never mind. Mine is just a BB holder. Hmm, they look sooo similar.

We sometimes play defend the trailers games, and if the defending side hole up in the trailers on the field, we could try to throw a dummy grenade in (of course, you are not allow to try to throw the grenade at people, just try to get close enough and toss it in through the windows or door), and if successful, all the people inside count as kills. :P
