Safeword
More interesting stuff from Impulse101 today, its a mp5 with external gas tank and a bolt made to simulate heavy recoil. The owner of Impulse101 writes that he is in contact with the factory and these are made when ordered so it may take up to 3 weeks before they are shipped out. Looks nice and the recoil is impressive, the price on the other hand... Here's link to the page --> ESCORT MP5A5 Also I found this video --> Youtube (japanese video with english subtitles)
Lone_Bullet
Great news for HPA users. Still waiting for a decent GBB MP5 old style non navi or a Next Gen kind of MP5 that doesn't cost €1500 like the systema's TW5.
happy.al
Escort MP5 is classic airsoft, it's been around for 20 years.
swatti
No habla... French? But 74k in durka durka -land money sounds like a lot. SRC makes very nice steel bodied MP5s with an affordable price tag. Can't be that hard to make a gbb-version and please, please SEF-selector.
Safeword
Google translate is your friend Yeah 74k is expensive, 74000 yen is about 593 dollar with today's currency
Lone_Bullet
Escort MP5 is classic airsoft, it's been around for 20 years. Oh I know and respect them . I'm just venting a though, is all.
Wingmann
If this is a renewed take on their system they are basically Daytonas. I had an Escort Colt 633 and I have two Daytonas, and the DG system is pretty much an evolutioned version of the Escort. If it's well made they are great fun. The old Escorts are trickier, and the new ones... Who knows Edit: The picture of the selector is frightening. Where is it pointing at?
heroshark
That's not the fire selecter ,it's the compass.
amateurstuntman
The problem with these is that the recoil assembly is made of brass which is very soft. DaytonaGun made a steel internal set for these which didn't eat its own collets and destroy itself. These do not work well out of the box and they don't last well without serious care. The bodies were good, ish. Real bits fit them. AS has come a long way since these were state of the art. 30 years ago.
paranoiddroid
I like the idea of the escorts system because of the size it means cool weapons could be had like a recoiling sten gun using aeg mags or that mad russian shotgun.
Wingmann
AS has come a long way since these were state of the art. 30 years ago. They have had 30 years to improve the system, but apparently they didn't do anything.
kyon
Aren't there Daytona kits for MP5s? Isn't that like the modern Escort.
TANGO91
Unfortunately the Daytona MP5's are no longer made as the steel MP5 bodys (made by SRC) were banned by the ATF so there are a few (maybe 15-20 or so) out there but currently there are no plans for another batch.
