Dimitri MdP
Yup. It stinks. Much, much worse than propane. But it works well 10ºC colder than propane or the very best of green gases (which is pretty much propane to begin with)CO2 is great, but it's simply not an option for most guns. paranoiddroid
I was told Propene would be a decent option is that basically map pro?
Dimitri MdP
Propene = Propylene =? Map Pro... Map Pro nowadays is supposed to be mostly propylene, but there's no way to be sure exactly what is the composition of the can you're buying. I know Worthington and Bernzomatic worked great in my personal experience, but personal experience is not as good measure as actual physics. If you can find pure Propene (or Propylene, just two names for the same thing) by all means go for it. It provides a 10ºC lower equivalent to propane, so it works just fine in 5-25ºC temperatures.
hitmanNo2
Surely the company has to divulge the chemical makeup of the gas in the safety data sheet?
Wingmann
The Rothenberger can I have here just says UN 1077, Propylene. Maybe it's bare propylene, maybe they don't have to put any more data.
Dimitri MdP
Just checked, Worthington and Bernzomatic Map Pro both says UN 1077 too. So... it seems to be just propylene, luckily
bankz5152
The DE does work and does cycle, just not well enough in anything below around 18C to be a suitable as a proper sidearm. Hence the questions, I could use it just doesnt perform as well as my HK 45. Granted I know it probably never well but if I can improve it then why not try? Though I will try to find some pure propene, give that another go.
Dimitri MdP
Though I will try to find some pure propene, give that another go. You won't see much of a difference between green gas and propane, they are the very same thing, only one has odour added and the other has some silicone. When ambient temperature is below that on which your gun works OK with propane, switch to propylene (Map Pro) and you'll see the difference.
ED-SKaR
When ambient temperature is below that on which your gun works OK with propane, switch to propylene (Map Pro) and you'll see the difference. When the ambient temperature is low enough for propane to not correctly function my pistol, I don't correctly function.
bankz5152
Looks like my wish may have been answered! WE just posted a video of what looks like their new Desert Eagle!! Surely the will make Co2 mags for it and it is likely a TM clone with a VSR hop On my phone, my spelling will suck
hitmanNo2
I don't know man, do many WE pistols have CO2 mags available for them? Just Glock and M92 isn't it? Makes sense they would do a CO2 Eagle mag though.
bankz5152
Glock, M92, 1911, Capa all Co2 so not crazy to think they would do a DE one!
Wingmann
Maybe you get lucky
ED-SKaR
WE will make it primarily green gas, they may make a co2 version later on.
