Sunday8PM
Well, what you could do for a battery is this: VFC does pay quite a bit of attention to realism, so they included the gas system of the real HK416 in the AEG model, you could just simply remove the fake gas tube to at least stuff a mini stick battery inside... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope you're right cos I'd rather have the real stock than a crane stock and I'm not really a fan of AN/PEQ2 boxes. Hmm I think I'll email VFC about this. I'll post the reply here.
umbra
Either a mini battery or some kind of split one might do the trick there. If I manage to get my hands on one of these I'll probably go for a crane stock like in that picture of the American soldiers in Iraq. It doesn't look as good but they are very comfortable and give great balance.
Sarge133
Im probably going to hold off on the 416 until someone tries to fit a mini or even a stick battery into the foregrip.

dwade32
Wait a sec, for you guys that is saying that get hte one from WGC and get a crane stock, why not just get the one over at UNco.? It's only about $100 more and it has that special gear box. A crane stcok can cost you $100.

Don't forget trademark wipeout. Alternative way: find the Hurricane HK417 stock - the only place I found it: those Guns n Guys folks in Hong Kong - they any good?
IronWolf
Yes guns'n'guys are GTG, they really need to get their website redesigned though...

Sunday8PM
Here's the reply from VFC, got it today (I asked if you could remove the fake gas tube to fit a stick battery inside the rail) Dear Sir, In fact, I also don’t like AN/PEQ2 box personal. However, if the space is enough to put the battery inside the rail hand guard, why we using the battery box? Maybe the plate type Li-poly battery can fit the space. But VFC doesn’t recommend you using Li-poly. Otherwise, you can use crane stock to put the battery in it. Best Regards, Kyou, Vega Force Int. Robot 2000
Or you could all just stop whining and use a BATTERY SLING.

Gundrosen
I recently mailed VFC with a few questions regarding the HK416, and I figured I might as well post it here: I have a few questions about your HK 416 that I hope you can answer. Does it have full HK trades? When is the official release date? Can you give me a hint of what price range it will be in? Will it include exchangeble barrels?(like the newly released hurricane conversion kit, and will all barrels be included in the package?) Can you only have a battery in the PEQ2 box or is there an internal option? How would you compare the gearbox to a stock marui gearbox, will it be much more durable? And how high are the FPS on this out of the box? Thanks very much for your mail. About your question: 1)It's very difficult to get HK trade license in USA or Germany. But the situation is not the same in Asia area. For example, there is a full HK trade in MARUI MP7 or KSC USP, HK33, and etc. If you can get Marui MP7 with a full HK trade, maybe you can get a HK416 with full HK trade in the same way. 2) HK416 will be released after SEP. 3) The price will be close to VFC AKS74UN DX version. 4) Asia version will have two type barrels to exchange. (14.5 inch and 10.5 inch.) We don't want to release 16 inch in one package. Because it's not law enforcement or Military version. And most important, you must change cylinder for 16 inch inner barrel. 5) AN/PEQ2 is just a option. There will be two places to put the battery. One is inside the rail hand guard, but you may use Li-poly battery. However, VFC doesn't recommend Li-poly battery. The other place will be showed in VFC web when available. 6) We use Car battery (12v / 50A) to test VFC gear box for 30000 shots. If you use Marui gear box, it will be broken about 1000 shots. Sounds very promocing if you ask me, I'll definately be getting this gun. Only thing that was a little irratating was that the release is now set AFTER september, not AUG/SEP as was stated before
no1rc3ur
dang, i might have to sell my m4 to get this gun but i do hope the trades are intact though Good gun, no trades...
Classicx
So the only way to fit a battery into the handguard is by using a li-poly battery?
Sarge133
Is that a bad thing? Ive heard that Li-Poly batteries are good at replacing mini-batteries when space isnt in much abundance.
Azulsky
Yeah but you have to be gentle with the Lipoly's, they explode if they are overcharged or too much drain. Im so glad it got pushed back, im getting some insurance money from le hurricane damages, so i definetly am considering picking this up, the trouble is getting the trademarks in the US. HKG36
Sorry to revive a dead thread but couldn't you possibly put this type of battery in the HK416handguard?

Sarge133
Sorry to revive a dead thread but couldn't you possibly put this type of battery in the HK416handguard? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If that fits in the 416 then I will definatly buy one. Putting a battery in a PEQ box on a 416 put me off.
evilliboba
3) The price will be close to VFC AKS74UN DX version. I just... *eh hem* That put's it at roughly ~$475. That is half of the UNCo custom. Oh happy days!!! That falls into my budget for Oct. Is the VFC one full metal? I'm putting off the L85 and M14 if it is really going to be under $500. HK416 here I come!
Azulsky
If you either have to get a PEQ(included) or use a Lipo battery, then that gun is worthless to me, All that research into making a AEG and they cant fit a battery in that colossal hanguard, thats BS. I i get it, im just going to have to get a VLTOR stock to put batts in Theoretically a Lipo will work, its just not something i want to take a chance with, plus they always come in wierd Voltages instead of 84. or 9.
evilliboba
HK416 D145RS(Upper) & HK416 D10RS(Below) HK416 D10RS HK416 D10RS VFC HK416 AEG will be released after SEP. Feature: 1. donnie
I just noticed this statement on the WGC regarding the MK43MOD-0 Do not hold the gun by the carrying handle only, otherwise the handle may break and cause injury / damage. what sort of gun is this? IIRC its lacking serious trades as well? But "dont use the carry handle" is a joke for a gun costing this IMHO. If I want something like this I`ll go with INOKATSU...
