Black Dog
MY FR "CQB" and "Jungle" Style. Just looking for a replica Mich that is more "Coyote" tan than regular Tan like the one on the picture... I am looking for a haydration pack but I cant seem to find one in coyote that I want.. and a Blackhawk one?
banditos_burritos
Black Dog I really like your "CQB" loadout! What vest is it? Only thing I would change on your woodland loadout is to limit the amount of marpat. It seems a bit overdone to me, the CB vest that you are wearing in the CQB picture would go well with your woodland loadout as well. Bilvo: Don't know if you've checked out Proud Tactical but they have a few items that looks similiar to the ones in FR pics on the web. Heres a few if you haven't already looked (sorry if pics are to big, if they are just say the word an i'll remove 'em) : http://www.proudtacticalgear.com/index.php...emart&Itemid=31 http://www.proudtacticalgear.com/index.php...emart&Itemid=31 http://www.proudtacticalgear.com/index.php...emart&Itemid=
HaVoC
The CQB/MOUT loadout looks AWESOME, good job! The woodland one I'm not so keen on - specifically the gun. That camo tape looks terrible, and if you put it on the barrel of a real one, it'd melt onto it
Black Dog
The "vest" is a BHI Recon Chest Harness in Coyote Tan with underneith a BEEZ Body Armor Carrier in Coyote Brown. There are Coyote tan pouches attached from BHI en SO Tech (shingle). ..The vest in the "Jungle" style is actually the same, but this time with the chest bib tucked away and marpat pouches attached from DirtyDaggerUSA. It's not very "realistic"...but in damn efficiant in the field
trfo2o
When force recon use to use mostly MP5s how would they store the mags? In the same AR mag pouches?
Black Dog
I've never seen Marines running around with MP5's, but their excist pouches specially for MP5 mags.
trfo2o
I could be thinking of SRT actually, but isn't that part of the marines? But I could have sworn force recon use to use mainly MP5s....
Wraith18A
"HRT" (Hostage Rescue Team) is part of the FBI, essentially their SWAT team. The Marines have FAST (Fleet Anti-terrorist Security Teams), which are just glorified infantry teams with some special training. Marine Security Guards (who guard the US Embassies) carry MP5s, but that's about it. Yes, Force Recon used to use MP5s. They probably stored them the same way they store their AR magazines. SilentScope
The Marines have an SRT unit that's a part of their MP. They use MP5A5s and all three of those pictures are of them.

Heres a few if you haven't already looked (sorry if pics are to big, if they are just say the word an i'll remove 'em) : Hey thnx for the pics and links, but I already ordered the BHI Hydration Pack. Got that and my CSM Dump Pouch coming... Also should get a black holster and is a Mk23 Socom alright or should get a 1911 or something?
Wraith18A
1911 with a Safariland 6004 holster in Black/OD/CT. The Mk23s are really only used by USSOCOM, but the Marines have their own rebuilt M1911A1s from storage.
SilentScope
*fruitcage* Kimber
paradigmsk8er
they only made like 200 of the kimbers though, most FR units use the MEU(SOC) pistols.
SilentScope
I'm just teasing. Hell Pat Rogers chose the design for both the MEUSOC and the MARSOC which makes themm both quality firearms in my book. Here's my thugging pistol
trfo2o
is that a uncustom pistol?
SilentScope
No, the metal kits look too much like anodized aluminum and not enough like parkerized steel. Mine is just a grey version WA early MEUSOC.

-ZeroTwo-
Finger on the trigger, not very FR!!!
MadCat360
The MFR's MEUs are all recycled Colt M1911s from WWII and vietnam. They're modified with an extended beavertail and grips, mainly. Some of the weapons are over 60 years old. Replacement parts have to be custom machined, because Colt no longer makes it. Maveric
*stranges -ZeroTwo-* i get so bored with people saying that... how exactly is one supposed to shoot something if u aint got your finger on the trigger?
SilentScope
Replacement parts have to be custom machined, because Colt no longer makes it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not true. The only parts made by Colt are the frames and in some cases the slides. Everything else is from third party manufacturers (Wilson, Wolf, Ed Brown, etc.) except for the sights which are made with the gun by armorers in Quantico. Now some of these parts require machine work to fit specific guns and ensure reliability, but they are not made from scratch.
trfo2o
according to this book I have called "SPECIAL OPS" it says the following: "The MEU(SOC) is hand-built by specially trained armorers at the rifle team equipment shop in Quantico, Virginia." p.48 Now whether or not this of relevence, i'm just throwing this out there to see what anyone has to say about that.
SilentScope
Yeah, third-party parts are put together by hand by Quantico armorers. They are also modified, by hand, to suit the nuances of each pistol. That book is just stating that they aren't mass-produced.
trfo2o
ahh gotcha. Where did you read up about all this stuff? sounds cool to me that's why i'm curious to know.
