Noodle_2000
Are you talking about the "General" BE guns? Or a certain type, LPEG or MPEG? But of course I guess they're ready to rock outa the box, unless it's a lemon. Tell me what exacly your looking at and I might be able to help you. Gary B.

Thxs Viral. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why not? Just throw them as hard as you can. But seriously, I was going to review one of those, but still waiting for my package to arrive. Pietak
Well, after 6+ months of faithful service, my first BE XM8 just broke. It looks like the tappet plate has been stripped out of place, but I'm going to break it down tonight. I have the early version too, the plastic gearbox (helpful to see inside what's wrong ) Still, for only $100, it's served quite well. But I only used it as a "filler" gun from my CA SLR to my G&G RK 103, so I really don't recomend using it as a long term gun you know?
Pietak
Tried and failed. Tappet does not return, but no parts are visibly broken. I'm left with the problem of finding that $20 replacement gearbox. Now where was that website...

Thxs Viral. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i hear the JG aks (including the svd) are great as long as they have a metal V3 GB
Chris North
The JG Dragunov is supposed to have good performance, but I but I read that the shimming is very bad, so that might need to be fixed if you want the gun to last long. The gun is also supposed to shoot 350 fps, so keep that in mind.
=J=
I've got a BE SL8 and (before it broke, completely my fault, now waiting on a new inner barrel unit thingy!) it easily heald its own against TMs and CAs. However, i have heard bad things about reliability (somewhere on this site) looks like i might just have got a good one!
kerberos_
where did ye get it from?
dcentity2000
Tried a BE XM8 and was very impressed. It's not the ritz but for the price it's very good. Try out Gunner (http://www.gunnerairsoft.com) - they have some very reasonable upgrades available that should make them sweeter Rich::
zachattack
Here's a plastic replacement gearbos for $13. http://www.airsoftshogun.com/default.aspx?oid=137084
Pietak
The AUG gearbox? The wires and trigger are different. $13 though, that's awesome! Which gearbox would work for the XM8 though...

falconfour4
I have the BE sl8 and G36k MGB versions. both are excellent and reliable so far, build quality is good but beware as both of mine were caked in dust when they came. a bit of a clean and they look lovely. the g36 gearbox has been upgraded with a promethus silent piston and head and a m100 spring. Gears all look good and the motor and battery turn it over perfectly. the only thing i would recommend is changing the inner barrels as the stock aluminium ones are a bit poor, but ok if you dont mind less accuracy. well worth it for the money.
