Fighting Maus
It will be nice to have another affordable option for a MP40. I have 2 of the AGM ones, and this looks remarkably similar. The hopup chamber looks different though.
Panzergraf
Yeah, and this one does not have that awful fire selector on the side. Looks slightly better than the AGM, I hope they will make them in a bakelite colour too. Also, remembering the SRC brochure I looked in at Berget, they will make an MP41 with wooden stock too. I asked an SRC representative who was present when it would be released, but I was really drunk at the moment (beer party) so I don't remember his response
CrazyJ
So is it probable to assume SRC will also be releasing an MP44 and MG42 as mentioned in that big release list a few weeks back? At the time no Chinese company was named the manufacturer.

At the time no Chinese company was named the manufacturer. SRC are taiwanese, not chinese. and no, it was confirmed as AGM that are meant to be bringing out the STG44 and MG42
Hendrix2247
Looks nice. I wonder how it will perform
Azulsky
Freaking sweet. Hopup looks like a g3ish type Was the AGM one metal, is this one going to be?

Looks slightly better than the AGM, I hope they will make them in a bakelite colour too. i wouldnt be so sure. look just above the hingey bit at the butt of the stock. see that bit of bare metal *just* visible above it? might just be me but that looks an awful lot like AGM's selector. tbh, looks like a carbon copy of the AGM to me. even looks like it has the weird on/off switch in the base of the grip. hopefully they'll actually put a return spring on the bolt so you can actually rack it properly. thats one of the things that irritates me about the AGM. sure, its practical for adjusting the hop up, but having your fingers nearly sliced off by the bolt while you're trying to fine tune your hop is half the fun
Panzergraf
The AGM selector is more rearward than whatever you're talking about, at least this doesn't have a selector where the AGM has one. Also, if they use a return spring for their bolt (which I also hope they do), they should make it so you can pull it back all the way and lock it to the rear, the AGM won't allow this. Guinness
well if it's not in the same place as the AGM, which indeed it's not, then it's not a fire selector- because that bit fit specifically into the gearbox at that position. I suppose they could be using a completely different gearbox- but of course thats not the case. Slainte!
my_plague_666
my bad, i could have sworn the selector was around there on the AGM. still i guess it wouldnt make sense for it to be there. should be interesting to see how it turns out eitherway, who knows, they may even make midcaps... although thats unlikely. i reckon whatever they do mag wise will be an improvement on AGM's effort (except hicaps, eww hicap MP40 ) i mean you must be able to get more than 50 rounds in an MP40 mag, TM managed to cram 30 in a shotgun shell for christ's sake! Panzergraf
But real MP40's had hicaps too, you need to watch more 60's and 70's war movies
