  1. The matrix barrel is metal, they just added a finish on top to make it look like the stock Marui one... dunno why. It's already wearing off from my break-in on it, the metal underneath looks much nicer.
  2. It's the matrix version. Quality is pretty nice for the $20 I payed for it. The threaded adapter is the nicest piece, and the finish on the rest of the outer barrel is remarkably similar to the stock Marui finish As far as the compensator goes, I found one of these second hand that I'm going to modify to work on the 14mm thread.
  3. Are you asking me? If you're asking about my Hi-Capa, no, the magazine catch button is one that I made myself. If you're asking about the WA, both the slide stop and magazine catch button are real steel parts, modified to fit (though not much!)
  4. The slide catch is a modification of a standard Hi-Capa slide catch. I used a piece of aluminum stock, cut and then filed to shape and contour the extension in a way that was comfortable to me, then filed the Hi-Capa slide stop to square to allow enough adhesion surface. The two pieces are soldered together. I let it cool, then blended them together with my hobby files. The magazine well is, *GASP* a WE product! I picked it up for $20 from a local-ish retailer. Drop in fit on the TM frame, it would fit onto the WA series frame with minimal filing of the plastic on the grip frame. http:/
  5. My newest works in progress, an evolution from the post earlier in the thread. TM Hi-Capa 5.1 WA Wilson Combat Highcap I'm waiting for the compensator for the Hi-Capa to get here, but I installed the threaded barrel anyways. Also added the custom extended slide stop, magwell, and altered the grip frame a bit more. I've got a scope mount coming as well. Should be a nice little open class pistol by the time I get everything tuned up. The only addition to the WA is the thumb rest
  6. I thought it might be too, so I made the stippling on the trigger guard much lighter than the rest of the stippling. It's actually quite pleasant for my bear paws.... I didn't feel like shelling out any money for a magazine catch button, so I made my own! Took about 35 minutes, including blueing the part.
  7. I took the plunge and modified the grip frame on my TM Hi-Capa. And my WA Magna Wilson Combat Hi-Cap.
  8. My M14. All stock Marui, except for the heatshield, which is real steel. Not overly worn, but hey, I like it!
  9. Used to be, but now it's for my MP5k.....
  10. How'd you get the KA MRE to tighten down on the sytema outer barrel properly? I tried mine and even when fully tightened the barrel is loose.
  11. Double Post! Might as well ad a closeup of my MGC Springfield Armory Govt. Combat Custom Ltd. Ed.
  12. W.A Shibuya Custom Works Striker pistol, after a few years in my possesion and many mods. Closeup of the newly stipled grip panels and the Pachmayr thumb guard.
  13. Thanks! I ran this rig at LC6, and the only thing it's really missing is hydration, so I'm probably going to get an Eagle Modular Assault Pack or more likely the DBT hydration patrol pack and jerry-rig it onto the back..., because the lightfighter doesn't have MOLLE attachments at the top.
  14. My favorite piece of multicam gear.... John Willis made "Original SOE" Lightfighter... I'm pretty sure this is the 2nd one John made in multicam, the first being for the manager of AEX SD.
