They look identical to me. the 17 barrel is the one your after then. Edit: it might be worth you contacting the guy in this thread whos done it for advice.

The 19 barrel seems to be the odd one out, many have had problems with it.

Yes, the length is longer so it protrudes a little but not much, others on this forum have done the same, have a look through the glock pictures thread and see. cheers.

Dont buy the g&g ones as they cause the slide to not cycle properly, your best bet would be to get the gaurder g17/18 threaded barrel, it's sticks out a bit but with a silencer on it's pretty much unnoticable. the g&g ss-100 silencers are perfect for the g17/18 barrel.

on another note, li-poly batterys can be dangerous and evike have got there info on them all wrong. i emaild a u.k distrubuter of li-poly batteries and this is what they had to say, Hi ******, I have read the information about Lipoly use from them and they are wrong about quite a few points. The fully chrged 3 series lipo is 12.6 volts fully charged and 9 volts discharged A lipoly that gets hot and expands is very dangerous!!!, If a lipo has swelled it has been damaged and must not be used again. Lipo batteries are safe but providing they are used correctly.

thats a nice launcher . in everybodys opinion would the classic army g36c be a better buy over the marui one?, what about all those horrible cracked gearbox's i hear about?

here's my teams, pretty simple but rather nice i think. by the way if anyone wants fairly cheap patches made go here http://www.designsondemand.com/ not embroided (laser printed) but very good patches specially for the price, and they do other things like dog tags. mine cost $14 inc shipping if i remember correctly.

can anyone reccomend a scope for when i get my vsr, i'll have very little cash left so it needs to be fairly cheap, would also be good if it didn't need to much work to zero in on it.

also, the p99 has a manufacturing fault, after a while the magazine catch will wear down and have to be reformed by heating it up and bending it although the problem will come back. the problem is that the catch won't hold the magazine in place properly so it sits lower in the mag well and causes the gun to mis feed and jam. i sold mine to sid who did a tempory fix on the catch, if you ask him nicely he might be able to help.

o.k thaks all, it just seemed odd to me as if you hold the rifle in your right hand it seems to make more sense to have the bolt on the left hand side of the gun but the bolt is on the right on the g-spec.

after all the torment of seeing all these lovely vsr's iv'e decided to buy a g-spec by the end of the month. i'm right handed will the g-spec be o.k or will i need the pro version?

the g&g slides need work to fit a cycle propely, the shooters desighn slide is better but it might also need some work. there is a zeke uspc metal slide but it costs more than the gun last time i checked. if you want your gun to look good or if you're keeping it as a show piece get the shooters desighn slide if you just want it as a skirmish pistol an don't mind it getting scratched and doing the work then get the g&g one.
