  1. Woah! Did it penetrate the lense or pass through the frame or what? I think that people living in Washington state have it the hardest with goggles, it's condusive to fog here. It's ALWAYS cold and your body is hot so thus you get fog. My whole team got those goggles and they are only used as a last resort now because of how much they fog. Everyone uses mesh.
  2. Yea, I hear you about how x y and z were all ok and etc and he was not gonna shoot and everything makes it impossible but, and I hate to be the d bag in the thread who points it out, you just DO NOT DO THAT. I'm not angry, just disappointed.
  3. Yes, exactly. There does exist a real receiver with those trademarks but it's not aesthetically appealing or correct to military rifles.
  4. I fully see the reason but it's just an odd setup, never seen another 249 / Mk46 like that. About the holes, I'd never looked under a Mk46 handguard so I only assumed it was the same as the 249.
  5. @ Crustyflap That's bizzare how the frame has all those holes in it and the rail is mounted directly to the body. Also, I'm not a fan of suppressed machinguns.
  6. They are not Colt and look bad. I've always hated CA guns because of their super goofy trades.
  7. I like everything but the compensator.
  8. I'm kind of in a critiquing mood so I'd like to say, in the first pic, guy on the right, drop the BUIS in front of the ACOG. Guy on the left, don't flag your buddy and put the gun on safe.
  9. These might look good on paper but they cause you to loose hearing in 1 ear and you sweat under it like no other. Basically, headsets designed for diving are not so good on land. These will fog like crazy and they look super weird. I'd go with low profile mesh.
  10. They did use Thompsons in Nam but certainly not with suppressors.
  11. Yea, the ANVIS makes me giddy. Great helmet.
  12. They didn't have suppressors for Thompsons back then, nor did they paint them black.
  13. He said he got it from Ebay banned. As you'll see there it doesn't say it comes with the riser but he got lucky and it DID come with it.
  14. Yea dude, chill out with the salad.
  15. Wow, that's luck! I went with Dragonred because the EBB one didn't say it came with the riser!
  16. Just ordered mine from Dragon Red. It seems like they are the only place that carries them (with the Larue riser).
  17. If I were you, I'd try and lower the receiver rather then making it high. So basically your change in dimension comes out the bottom rather then the top.
  18. I knew it was a reference to that as soon as I read it. Classic!
  19. Hey man, sweet RPD. I and a couple others guys I'm working with have done a TON of research on building an AEG RPD and one of those collaborating with me bought a parts kit and gearbox. Just so you know, an AGM MP40 gearbox is a very good choice, the M249 gearbox is too big. I'm sure you'll be able to make it work so best of luck.
  20. Great pictures but I'm laughing at what's on that guy on the left's helmet!
