  1. Yeah, forget about the original charging handle, it doesn't have enough contact surface with the bolt to re-attach it. Better find some alternative solution. But hey, it's not vital to the function of the gun, and it's a $100 AEG; I know I'm not losing any sleep over mine. Now, had it been a VFC, I'd be sad.
  2. Fixed bolt handle: Wooden handguards have just been sanded, therefore the brightness.
  3. Very nice, must've cost a fortune. Why is there both a TM 5.1 spring and an SD spring? How many shots do you get on a full tank of gas, and how's accuracy? Personally I find the stock Detonics to be so nice, I intend to keep it stock until something breaks (not holding my breath). The outer barrel is especially impressive - compared to the TM 5.1 outer barrel, the 5.1 looks absolutely awful. I really am liking my Detonics more and more. Having just re-aquired a TM 5.1, it is clear to me how good the Detonics really is. The only things that the 5.1 is better at, is gas capacit
  4. Naw, mine fell on a concrete floor. It'll be perfectly safe inside a gun case. Hmm, that made me take a look at my own box, and indeed, there is a hole ripped right through the bottom from the charging handle! So it could have been cracked or weakened right out of the box. Not good. Oh well, I have it fixed now by means of a... TM 4.3 recoil spring plug. Pics when I've spraypainted it.
  5. The charging handle broke on mine, apparently from falling over from standing upright on the skeleton stock. User error, sure enough, but just be aware that the charging handle/bolt cover is brittle die-cast metal and not indestructible.
  6. If you think of the MP7 as a modernized Uzi, it's easier to like.
  7. Front sight is pinned. Gas chamber? If you mean the gas tube going from the barrel behind the front sight, that is pinned too. If you mean the upper handguard, you just throw a lever and it comes off.
  8. Cool gunzer, but all those biblical inscriptions make it look like something out of Hellsing. Which is rather not a good thing, but I guess it doesn't matter. Nice review though.
  9. I can see that UNCO has the Star AK-47 midcap box set, but no 74 anywhere. I can vouch for the MAG mags though, they're cheap, look fine, they fit without modification, and they feed without problems.
  10. Hell yeah, there's room for a battery twice as long as the stock batt minus one cell, just about. Battery space extends all the way to the front end of the upper hand guard.
  11. And it does! Wood furniture is 100% tight, no movement. Same goes for folding stock. Front sight was twisted slightly to the right (when seen from the front), from screwing on the very tight flash hider at the factory I guess, so I had to twist the sight a little to the left again. Seems the pins aren't holding the front sight in place properly, but it still fits very tightly, had to use some serious force to twist it. 387 fps avg. Gearbox sounds smooth. MAG magazines are a tight fit, but feed perfectly. Me = happy camper so far!
  12. Just tested mine outdoors. Gun: TM Detonics, stock Air temp: ~8 decgrees C; medium wind Gas: propane Ammo: .30g Straight & .25g KSC boollets Range: 18m Crouching stance, two-handed grip Consistent ~20cm circular groupings for both .25g and .30g. Hop was set to just under 50% for .25g, and about 75% for .30g. Not bad I think!
  13. Yeah, I've got one on it's way too from WGC; I hope it'll rock pretty hard!
  14. Yeah, poor wretches. That's all they get! here's the Japanese food pyramid: ........................./\ ....................../.... \ ..................../..rice..\ ................../_______\ ................/..................\ ............../.......sushi.......\ ............/_____________\ ........../..............................\ ......../..............134a............\ ....../___________________\
  15. It's a crime to run a TM Desert Eagle (Deagle? That's Gollum's brother) on anything less than propane. I hope that satisfies your curiosity.
  16. Hmm - the battery could go in the silencer. I'm more impressed by the Glock 18C, seems to be the smallest AEP so far? Of course it cheats by having stick mags.
  17. Hm. Seems to me that something that big might as well have been a regular AEG. There should be room enough for bigger, better performing internals.
  18. Haha oh god. Or at least it should've had a rail, right?
  19. Good enough? Whew okay, no worries then, I can sleep safely now. For a minute there I thought that 5-10 full power shots out of a monstrously expensive custom GBB was pretty poor, glad we got that sorted out. It says 'the crack of the slide after each shot is a joy to behold'. I don't even know how to translate that. So overall, a kickass product (wicked, wicked)! Where's my checkbook??
  20. Ouch, a TM 1911 with steel slide? I'm guessing like, maybe 5-10 full power shots on a full tank of gas? Also the slide must cycle rather slowly. I don't even wanna know what it costs, probably more than its RS counterpart.

Fixed! And nice review, very funny.
  22. Yeah, ebay's the place to get real steel grips.
  23. ZirC, did that happen using stock battery and spring?
