  1. I have to say, between the two, the GHK's finish looks very poor. WE's is better by a long shot. GHK firing videos looks great though. The GHK AK's are just Dboys/KALASH bodies with their gas kit installed, right? So are these PDW bodies produced in-house? Ben.
  2. I don't remember mentioning anything in the review about demanding anything... Oh wait, that's right, it's because I didn't. Ben.
  3. Errrm... Where to start, really? 1./ This is a retailer review, not a Problems with Sales Online thread. 2./ It's a HK business, as are plenty of reputable retailers who have served the airsoft community for years. Who do you think supplies American airsoft shops? My review verdict? Don't bother, buy from a better-known HK shop. Ben.
  4. I ordered some stuff from Airsoft Buddy, and thought I'd share my thoroughly negative experience with you guys. Here's the website blurb; "Airsoft Buddy is a newly established on-line shop for airsoft products, we're located in Hong Kong and evangelized to provide one-stop shop for airsoft fans world-wide. We partner with the largest and most reliable airsoft and war-game equipment suppliers, and therefore, we carry a large variety of high quality products which could suit for individual fans’ interests. Our customer services team will follow-up closely with customer requests, and
  5. I ordered the Speed Bolt and the NPAS, along with 4 mags. Anyone know rough shipping times to the UK from Airsoft Buddy? Ben.
  6. Can anyone post a picture of their NPAS setting for me? I want about 310 FPS on green gas - where abouts should I be setting it? Ben.
  7. Spence, it sounds awesome! Will test it against my SCAR when I can get down to Worthing. It's a shame about the buffer. I guess it's either convert to Open Bolt, or risk a cracked receiver. Ben.
  8. I was mainly talking about the thickness, but just a square would do too, I suppose. Ben.
  9. Might be an idea. See if someone with the Open Bolt Kit can tell you the dimensions of the included rubber buffer, and then just cut one to shape? Ben.
  10. EDIT:: I meant Zero In. Ben.
  11. I'd go for the RA Tech Stinger HOP upgrade if I were you. It's pretty cheap, and apparently quite good over the stock HOP. You didn't, by any chance, buy that WE SCAR on Zero One, did you? Ben.
  12. Tactical Quartermaster for the parts. Loctite so it doesn't happen again! The HOP needs around 10 - 15 magazines through it to stabilise. Ben.
  13. Hi Spence, Glad you're pleased with the PDW - Can't wait to see it. I'll bring my SCAR along to a skirmish soon. I'm sure I posted it in this thread as well as the WE SCAR one - Tactical Quartermaster have the parts to convert mags to the Open Bolt system, I believe. I couldn't find the page on the site, but e-mail Mark, he's very helpful, and I'm sure he can get some for you. Ben.
  14. What does the Open Bolt kit do to the recoil? Any noticeable change? Ben.

  17. Ok, so there appears to be two seperate problems with the SCAR. The bolt catch not engaging when you fire it seems to be fixed by jiggling it about with your thumb. The bolt catch not engaging when you insert an empty mag and rack the bolt is different. It seems that, on mine, the magazine has significant play in the magwell (up and down). On taking the lower off and inserting the mag, you can see that the bolt catch assembly isn't engaged properly by the nub on the mag until you push the magazine up with your hand. I think this is what's causing the bolt lock problems - the ma
  18. I think the problem may be the bolt catch assembly. As you can see in the pictures above, there is a bit of up and down play in the notch where the bolt catch assembly sits in the lower receiver. As an experiment, I fired the SCAR a few times. No lock back at all. I then jiggled the bolt catch up and down a bit (while the gun was still assembled). Now it locks back on its first or second shot. Ben.
  19. Also, forgot to ask last night. If I buy the RA Tech NPAS with stainless steel rod, do I still need to take that small white plastic piece off my original nozzle assembly? Ben.
  20. Ok, so I took some pictures while I was inspecting the bolt carrier. It does look a little worn, as you can see. Not massively, just the corners seem to have rounded off? I was going to get the Bomber CNC lightweight bolt, so I might not bother messing around with this? Could this definitely be the problem? Ben. EDIT:: Also, how come you'd never get a SCAR?
  21. So there should be a slot that the bolt lock hooks into? Weird it's on the front of the bolt. I'll take a look. What should I do with it - file it down, or build it up? Ben.
  22. Where is this on the gun - can you take pictures please? I've had the lower off, but I can't really see what you mean. Ben.
  23. This gets weirder. I've still not found the problem. Usually, you rack the bolt, and either it won't lock, or it'll sort of 'half lock'. This is when the bolt is locked back, but if you eject the mag it'll slam forward again. You can see, if you look at the bolt lock, that it's not fully engaged. Weird thing is, though, if you push the mag up into the magwell while you rack the bolt, it seems to lock back fine. You can eject the magazine, and do whatever, and the bolt will stay locked back. Do you think it's the mag, or the bolt lock? Ben. EDIT:: Taken some pictures to
