  1. I would like a Landy but their reliability is a bit of a worry, I am going to be making 200 mile weekend trips fairly regularly so I need it to get me back to A from B! I've looked at old beamers, but the insurance isnt great. I'll try older models though. Yeah, a Volvo is a possibility. Cheers.
  2. I guess here is as good a place to ask as any, seeing as the more petrol headed members frequent this thread.. What are peoples recommendations for a first car? I need it to be big enough for me (I'm 6 ft 4), with a decent boot. Obviously I want something thats vaguely cool, and as cheap to insure as possible.. Im thinking Vauxhall Astra.. Budget is £3000 max. Thanks.
  3. It has an In Service Date of 09, but it will probably be closer to '10 when its issued generally. Apparently the uniform might go to everyone, inc. cadets, but the guy who said that wasn't even sure so it might not happen. And Doc, you'll need a 'tasche and some black nasty over your eyes to complete the Ally look!
  4. I hope I can post a real-steel picture here.. Just to make all the MCS lovers hate me!! (I want one myself..) http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa310/b...0ae2c2b384d.jpg Enjoy!
  5. I doubt that thats what Putin said.. "When the Revolution comes my friend, you will be first up against the wall.."
  6. How much did yours cost Billy? Cheers
  7. 25 Armalite magazines for one HK416... Fair enough.. And do you have a 40mm launcher?
  8. It also wouldn't be an M9 that the officer would have.. A Browning HP or possibly a SIG P226 (I'm pretty sure I've seen pics of regular soldiers using them, but then again it was in Nuts!)
  9. http://www.commandarms.com/product.asp?pID=36&cID=43 Those are the magazine couplers that 'they' use predominately, it took me ages to find them!
  10. Punky were you with the guy who was wearing a kilt on saturday? It certainly looks like him in that photo...
  11. The guy to your right (our left) looks like a wax work model of a person...
  12. And it is very fun to use!! Did you guys get it sorted after it sort of fell apart a bit on Sunday?
  13. Did you use prussiks to get up there, Alfer? Also, is that the Portland site? I've got to go there sometime; it looks awesome!
  14. Ebay probably.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DESERT-DPM-3-LITRE-C...1713.m153.l1262 That one seems to be in good nick..
  15. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that those sizings are right, I forgot that they use inches..
  16. Firstly, I highly doubt the SAS would ever ever ever wear WebTex gear, it is generally regarded to be *suitcase* quality. Regular Army soldiers hold this opinion, so the SAS are highly unlikely to touch WebTex. Something like http://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/is.../shopscr92.html would be better, they are still in use in Iraq by the SAS, and although not waterproof they'll be water repellent and you can always treat it with some NikWax.. As fo the sizing, on my S95 Combat Shirt, the size is given as 180/104, which is the height in cm and the chest in cm. I think its the sa
  17. I believe they are.. And on the SA80A2, the 'yellow thing that goes on the end' is designed to stop up to three live rounds being fired from it accidentally. I was wondering if the Canuck 'yellow thing' has the same ability.
  18. Two LLM's.. Jealous? Me, never.. What brand of MG42 is that Ubar? Cheers
  19. Lerch I was just wondering, do your BFA's (Blank Firing Adapters) have the potential to stop any live rounds? Cheers, Tom
  20. You need a picture of the sign to make the story!
