G&G M14... This is supposed to be an HDR image but it came out quite poorly. I don't think one of the pictures I used was light enough.

About finished with my AKM project... All genuine Soviet wood parts! Just have to get rid of the gap between the stock and the receiver, the side rail, and the *suitcasey* Echo 1 trademarks.

This is my second attempt at creating an HDR image. I think it turned out pretty well! RS Type 56

I've got an Ares L1A1 - Completely bone stock (internally) and shoots amazingly well with .28s.

Not hard at all, the stock was a bit easier to work with than wood ones I have done in the past. I did end up cracking the upper handguard a little during fitting, however.

Not necessarily referencing Adadqgg here but I'm not a huge fan of when the Red-Alliance syndrome bleeds through into other forums...It's as if people actually try to identify with this "communist" persona ("DA! COMRADE TOVARISH!") that's so prevalent there. They even do it on my local forum, Illinois Airsoft. I apologize for the double post but I cannot edit my previous one for some reason. I tightened down those screws, Clot, but am still getting double/triple feeds. I've noticed that the hop wheel itself is somewhat difficult for me to turn without using tools. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not getting a good enough grip on it (could be because of my sweaty hands) or because there's something else going on with the system. I've noticed it even when my hands are not sweaty

I just used some minwax red oak stain on the stock and handguard WITHOUT removing the original finish. I've found this to be key...It takes a long time to dry but the end result is always worth it. As far as my assessment of the gun I'd say it's more than a bargain given with what we've been provided as far as SVD AEGs have gone in the past (RS is too expensive for me). It just has its various niggles like any ACM gun.
