  1. thats 1 watt of unadaultated power - sounds nice though. my other 2 amps cant be seen, but they are in my tiny room.
  2. here is the gun corner of my room. the minimi didn't fit on the shelf, nor do i trust the wall to hold it on hooks lol - especially as it will be hanging over me as i sleep. other guns are in bros room next door - its bigger i have finished my AK47 now, nice pics on the AK picture thread
  3. ok dudes i have finished the AK now, got some wear on the wood. no doubt some of you will tell me "its unrealistic" , but yeah ok then. in person the wear is more subtle, the bare metal less shiny and the wood less red. sorry about that fuzzy pic cheers
  4. yeah i no the sling mount isn't in it. i couldnt be arsed with it. i sort of *fruitcage*ed it up, adn tbh i would never use it anyway. luckily, the hole it left helped me a lot in fixing my selcetor problem, as i coudl see how much the selector rail was moving.
  5. because this was never going to be a main weapon. i wouldnt use it enough to get it beaten up. i would rather use every other one of my AEG's than this one. i got it simply because i wanted to beat an AK up. everybody seems to think i done too much - remember i saw real AK's in egypt, up very close, and they were in far worse condition than mine. how much i caned mine is no different to somebody copying a 'real steel l33t marine' paint job on their armalite. rob - the body IS brand new. got it on monday oh and i was also copying various pics of real steel, and also somebo
  6. ok here are some pics now i sanded the wood down. they arent too good because really i need daylight to show the difference in the wood, camera flash is *beep*. and it shows the wood as the wrong colour. in person teh wood is a bit less red, and it is now un-varnished, and matte all over. i have sanded down extra bits hwere you would hold the gun, or rest your cheek on the stock. like i said, its not too visible under camera flash, better pics tomorrow hopefully.
  7. cheers man. i just took some pics of it now that i have sanded the wood down, but the flash is rubbish, need daylight to really show the change in the wood.
  8. i really need a gunwall thats impressive dude.
  9. cheers dude. im gonna sand all the varnish off, but i dont want to go too far as i want to keep the colour. then gonna rub some mud and oil and *beep* in it. im a bit wary of hacking into the stock as its not the best wood in the world, i dont want to break it it will stand up to skirmishing, just not be annhialating it
  10. oh i see, Doc wants a AK now ?? tbh, i got lucky. i managed to get an almost mint condition TM AK47 from AKRay for 88 quid posted. then i got the wood and metal reciever from HK, 50-60 quid the wood and metal cost. like i said, the wood and metal were the cheapest ones available. and i got SUPER lucky with the AK price. add it to the fact i just sold the old furniture for 20 quid, lo-cap for 13 quid and stock TM spring for 4 quid, thats some money back already
  11. and i acknowledge your thoughts, and im not getting arsey, dont worry dudes. im too mellow. its funny, some people go "yeah my gun looks JUST like that real one i saw on TV, or in that pic" i go to Egypt and get 5 feet away from real AK47's, and people are telling me "it doesn't look right" ANY help with the wood predicament ?
  12. yeah bearing in mind also it will get a bit dirtier and duller with use. i mean jesus dudes, i only just uncovered the metal. but anyways - its my gun you can kiss my *albartroth* edit - yes i know about the wood. im still thinkign of how i can make it beaten up without damaging it. its not the best wood in the world (get what you pay for), and i fear throwing the stock at the wall etc could break it.
  13. well that comment just moved me to compare the photos to my actual gun, and needless to say the 'awesomeness' of digital photography has somewhat exaggereated the brightness of the silver bits, it looks less 'in your face' in person, but its still quite beat. anyways, i went to Egypt and saw real AK47's FAR more caned than my one, so i dont care
  14. here it is now with maximum metal wear and tear. for mroe info and pics check the AK picture thread cheers
  15. and here is my now beaten AK im well chuffed, shame the bit with the rear site mounted on is plastic, but i might paint some silver on the edges to make it look like metal. the wood looks too new, still trying to decide what to do to it. i love it though.
  16. yeah i painted it, and now im scratching some off for a worn look. im not one for period details to be perfect, i couldnt care less if 47's didn't have a black cover. i even had my g36k flash hider on it yesterday lol im scratching paint off the gun at the mo, need some ideas about the wood though im also thinking of putting an AK74 flash hider on my AK47 - oh teh noes
  17. heres my newly equipped AK47 - G&P metal reciever and a King Arms wood kit. more info about the fitting in the AK picture thread.
  18. and finally here is my AK, post upgrade. TM AK47 with a G&P metal reciever and a King Arms wood kit - yes i went for all the cheapest parts possible . got both parts for 50 quid from HK. add to the 90 quid i paid for the AK, and thats 140 for a full metal and wood AK47 !!!!!!!! the metal body is very nice. the KA wood kit - well you know for sure you arent buying guarder qualtiy, but its decent enough wood. this is my first experience with airsoft wood products, so i cant realyl comment on the quality too much. its a nice, good colour though. the stock fit
  19. i have to admit the lack of power has cancelled my interest in this. i used to use an MP5k to great effect, and quite fancied this as a replacement. i ecpected the MP7 to fall short of the MP5k, obviously, but not this short. still - looks absolutely STUNNING, and i bet its built incredibly well.
  20. did i actually post in here, or was it deleted, or am i just ruing the effects of my mind bending consequence free envoronment ?
  21. never held a USP, but perhaps the main difference is in the grip. i would imagine, bearing in mind the real steel round size of a DE, the grip on it is much larger than that of a USP.
  22. i have my stock DE firing at 320-328 FPS on a good day - i.e not snowing. running on propane. upgrades are on the way for both mine though, should get another 20+ FPS from them
  23. yeah. funnily enough an M14 forum would be just like...err this thread. do you realyl think you ened a forum for one gun? what about if everybody wanted a forum for their gun? can ui have a DE forum? and a CA36K forum? and an MP5SD5 forum? and also a minimi one. and one for the 10 other guns i have ? no, i didn't think so.
  24. hhmhmm that foregrip is real nice. i keep seeing individual pieces on Armalites that make we want to buy one. soon i'll have enough to make a whole gun if these 'individual pieces'.
  25. that foregrip set on your gun - looks awesome. the stock - makes me cry. what is that foregrip set ?
