They do fog, but I have found that removing the vent cover entirely and using anti-fog products like the Revision Antifog wipes before a game will give me a good 6-8 hours of fog free fun.

If the electronics hold up, I don't see anything that would be a dealbreaker here... ESPECIALLY if that receiver is solid. What would be really interesting (if you own a Systema PTW) would be to see what happens if you hook up a Systema MOSFET or FCU. If those are compatible, then you could safely assume that FCC replacements would also be compatible, meaning that you could fix anything that did go wrong for a fraction of the price of an actual Systema.
