  1. Began as an old Tokyo Marui, now it's just an assortment of aftermarket parts held together with Krylon. I've dabbled in other platforms but this is my proven workhorse, and I rarely use anything else. Might convert the spare upper to 14" and slap an M320 on it, any other ideas?
  2. Sure, I was waiting for a Hogue grip and SF FH but they're going to be another week or so:
  3. No fair! I ordered mine back in the middle of April. So there's no remote jack under the switch?
  4. This one should at 25-50c and it's really tiny, leaving plenty of room in the can for whatever else might find its way in there. It just seems odd to bodge up such a specific replica like a parts bin G36, but I guess it's no worse looking than a p-star nailgun hose. Maybe wrap with Russki tourniquet and/or stick the battery in a field dressing wrapper?
  5. Please, no more airsoft colostomy bags. It's designed to fit separated flat cell type lipo batteries: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__901__900__Airsoft_Accessories-Lipoly_Batteries.html
  6. Needs an SPR mount and the light is temporary, but here's what I'm currently shooting people with:
  7. I never liked those bulky QD fittings hanging six inches off the gun. How about running the narrow line all the way from the air box to a QD at the regulator, and while you're at it have it exit the receiver under the buffer tube so it blends in with the sling. Nice rifle though, apart from the hose.
  8. For one thing it helps to break down the dubious Chinese knockoff branding: PX doesn't list a manufacturer for theirs. Boomarms' is simply labeled ACM, and JK Army's is MIC Cross. It's unlikely that four different factories started making trademarked X300 Ultra clones at the same time.
  9. You can mount an MVG to pretty much anything if you're willing to drill or Dremel things, but it's pretty straightforward in this case:
  10. Mine aren't exactly small, but for a short gun with a VFG it's not an issue: While the MVG did fit without mods, the B5 is far narrower than the bloated MOE handguard so the profiles don't match up very well: Still, it's better than an handful of picatinny cheesegrater and will do until something better comes along--Unity Tactical has one in the works for example.
  11. Speaking of XDMs, that zany floating rail spacegun slide is out now for $280: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/sru-cnc-sr-x-apache-floating-rail-slide-for-we-xdm-gbb-pistol-grey.html#.Uw-r8vldUg0 I think I'll just wait for an RMR milled slide.
  12. Yikes: http://www.aliexpress.com/popular/gen-3-night-vision.html OTOH, gen 3 prices can't stay artificially inflated forever. And supposedly $350 thermal imaging is just around the corner.
  13. They (Remington) used to sell MCS parts as spares over the phone but someone put a stop to it. The only short forend I could find for sale recently went for silly money due to the artificial rarity. You could probably get an LEO buddy to order one (or get two and scalp the spare). Mine is based on a CA870 clone--RS furniture required major modification to both the gun and the new parts.
  14. I guess there's still Springfield DNA in there somewhere:
  15. It does look like a god of drinking and/or debauchery.
  16. My quick and dirty chest mounted HTC1:
  17. Now with top rail and RMR--fighting the urge to track down an MCS forend.
  18. LBT dead hooker transport bag, still going strong. If it won't fit, I don't need it. Hauled two SAWs with armor and LBE once, and still had room for my camping gear. I just need to find a 36x10" padded gun bag for the outside pocket; all of mine are 12" tall:
  19. DX is a cheap source of cheap junk, but they did rip me off a couple of years back. I bought a phone that that did not operate on the frequencies described (turned out to have an incorrect description which they edited); they ran out the clock with nonsensical emails, finally demanding I ship it back to them before issuing a refund. Once I did they stopped responding altogether, putting me out around $300. In hindsight a snatchback and/or CC claim at the first signs of shadiness was the appropriate strategy.
  20. Sweet looking work on the suppressor. One of the Unity mounts has been on my shopping list for absolutely ages now, I'm surprised they're not much more widespread than they actually are. ... Thanks. The fake DBAL didn't quite fit into the groove of the fake Fusion mounts without a little filing, and it's tricky finding the right screws (original mount screws were too short), but it's a very clever system. I'm curious to see what Unity Tactical comes up with next. How well does it perform? Pretty great, at least for airsoft--I've heard they don't handle recoil well so haven't

    DMRs

Thanks, it's a Japanese clone of the NightForce 2.5-10x24 NXS.
