  1. Sounds like the wiring or the motor is over heating. No bueno.
  2. +1 to Fatal. It was a good piece. My classmate liked it, if that tells you anything.
  3. I showed your list to my classmate, his first thought was that you're carrying too many 1911 mags. A lot of you guys are carrying too much ammo for a genuine pack, at least according to him. Yeah, others may do it differently, but apparently even on the DA ops they ran relatively light.
  4. Not just that. The actual structure of the receiver is designed differently, including how the barrel attaches. Trust me when I say that it cannot work without modification - I compared the kit to a King Arms AK47 receiver (which uses an identical style of construction) in hopes of adapting it for a Type3 AK47 build. It will not work.
  5. It won't work. Sorry. It uses the Marui style receiver, it needs a VFC style receiver.
  6. Best Ranger loadout ever. I'm a fan! He's got the John Wayne going, with his unapproved t-shirt, and his awesomesauce MP5.
  7. As per optics - he says they used whatever the *fruitcage* they wanted. His gunner didn't rock optics unless they were in urban environments or quickie missions. Apparently it was one more thing to bring batteries for that could fail and additional weight to lug around.
  8. According to one of my classmates, they're still using 249s, but with the M4 stock thingy, a RIS lower, and a chopped (probably Para?) barrel.
  9. It should break down identical to a TMP, I believe the website review section has a takedown guide. Ordered on on Friday, should ship today and arrive soonish.
  10. Yeah, keeping the top untucked is a good suggestion - we don't wear it like that, so to me it looks odd as hell to see people do it.
  11. #2 should hand off to #1, who chucks it in by bouncing it off a wall. Loss of positive control on his weapon is a concern, but it's not unheard of to throw the boomy-item with the firing hand. I prefer (and was taught) low-ready over high-carry, and as Janno stated - have the rifle of #2 over the shoulder of #1, ready to push him off and through the door. The remainder of the stack should pull 180-degree security with individual zones of responsibility. Bunch up, you're a gaggle-*fruitcage*. Also, for god's sake, have #1 pull his muzzle from the door!
  12. Looks like an A2-profile barrel to me (i.e. no cutout for the M203). It's a model 727, in my opinion. *edit - and that's an incorrectly labelled picture, the 727 should have no cutout for the M203.
  13. The M733 has an 11.5," barrel. You want an M16A2 carbine barrel, which is a heavy barrel without the profile cut for the M203 system. *edit - if you're mounting the light.
  14. Lemme guess, some sort of AEG project inspired by too much Black Hawk Down. AMIRITE?
  15. They fit fine in Marui receivers and my Masada. Just not the CA receiver. I always co-witness my optics when I can. Besides, our issued mounts are L-mounts, and I'm building this to be close to what I do and will carry. It's an ACM P-Mag, presumably by Waterloo. You can buy them from www.pro--t.com and yes, it feeds very well.
  16. New MagPul goodness and a new rifle (the M4): (It required some filing to fit the CA receiver but was a perfect fit for the A&K Masada) (Wonky trades make life more enjoyable and prevent claims of copyright or trademark infringement!) The M4 is waiting on a KAC style RIS and a PEQ15 + battery combo. I also need an 'LE' style stock for it, as I'm trying to build a copy of our issued M4s, but it's not a priority.
  17. Suck my fart, Saddam! Yes, the US Army has a giant plywood head of Saddam in storage. I don't know why, but it is in a warehouse with other war trophies.
  18. If you guard computers all day and secure coffee machines professionally. Seriously, though, it's like arguing whether tan baby puke or khaki baby puke looks better... *rolls eyes*
