Scuffer
For items such as the plastic cuffs you need to be looking at Police/Law Enforcement retailers. Niton Link
Doughguy
He mean the simple white ones in the shoulder parts of the RAV´s. They sure are regular tho large zipties.
krissvdh
Cheers for the replies guys, happened to walk into my local farm supplies shop for circlips and castors for work and they had loads, a bargain... 30 for £3.19 inc VAT. Having read the thread i have been working on a UKSF loadout, i am currently saving for a paraclete RAV and relevant Blackhawk pouches. In the meantime i am using a RICAS base, the main things i am missing are correct comms in the form of ct5 + radio and the RAV. I will post up some photos after a milsim at the end of the month of the loadout as it stands.

chatham
*edit* Was a bit harsh before, is this better? Going by your advice I cropped and zoomed our footwear, as I thought you would be interested in that.
Azulsky
Shame i missed the harshness while afk 1/2 that image is worthless for the sake of a gear thread
PlasticMag
WUT? Looks good to me.
Azulsky
Just wanted him to provide it at a higher resolution is all, i didnt bother looking at EXIF data but i feel confident the image provided is shrunk quite a bit from its original, and because ive seen other excellent work by chatham. Thants all, no harsh feelings meant. If it was a bad picture i wouldnt have bothered posting, i wanted to see more of it.
Scuffer
For what detail/gear he is showing that picture is fine. Chatham, very nice, particularly the far right bod.
Red_Dog20
very nice, particularly the far right bod. That's me. I do appreciate the compliment!

Corrigan
Agreed. If that was a RAV instead I'd have to go get some tissues.
Staffy
Starting to plan a few UKSF loadouts not entirely based on the well-known pics, but on my thoughs about what could be credible enough, I'm gonna ask you what do you think about sporting a South African M-83 "Nutria" chest rig (not the vest) on a modern UKSF A-stan recce setup... That's a light and hard piece of kit, and it has been seen on Paras in a couple of years ago photos, then why not for a SF loadout...? Waiting for your thoughs & comments... Staffy
Sounds fine bro. Chatham, I knew you're the one who'd like a breath of fresh air... This is the item (a quite rare one I would say)...

So long as you get the rest right (which you will judging by your other work) it could look legit for a early modern Afghan foothill recce type look.
chatham
Chatham, I knew you're the one who'd like a breath of fresh air... This is the item (a quite rare one I would say)... I always enjoy your pics. You actually get out and use your stuff. BAMF bro. I wouldn't put much emphasis on kit. If it's within reason to find it for sale in the UK, and you don't look like a *Ubar* wearing it. You'll look the *suitcase* if you get the other details right, regardless of the rig. There's a US retailer selling those South African rigs if you've not found any.

pumba1504
Heres a couple of pics of my RAV setup aswel as my L119A1, lemme know wat u think. Still a couple of things that need to be added, like a petzl Taktikka, some kind of replica/improvised CT5 PTT, a few cable ties in the shoulder parts of the RAV. http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/p...09/DSC00313.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/p...09/DSC00310.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/p...09/DSC00315.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/p...09/DSC00317.jpg
Scuffer
Looking good Pumba. Pouch placement looks a little clunky on the RAV though - is the SERPA not a little too far right? Does it interefer with you using your rifle? Though if it works for you thats gravy
pumba1504
hey scuffer, serpa seems fine where it is, using a rifle is fine, the stock sits perfectly in the shoulder. thanks for the comment

pumba1504
Ive got the RAID modified Tricolor shirt made by Proper and tricolor trousers made by Tru-Spec (both match up fine, colourwise). Ive also got the MICH 2000 w/ NV mount, Comtac II replicas, LBT arm band in black, Hatch knee pads in black. Still need to get a BHI CQB riggers belt and BHI SOLAG gloves. cant really think of anything else to complete the look, lemme know if theres something missing.
chatham
I can't tell if you have one on the RAV or not, but an IFAK would be fitting.
