hardboiledcop
I just noticed that there are a heck of a lot of topics in off-topic about Real Steel firearms, maybe it'd be a good idea to have one sub-topic in the off-topic section dedicated to talk about real steel firearms (still inforcing the rule about terminal ballistics), for people to enquire about prices, discuss their own firearms, etc.. -- Just a thought, I'm not a nut for RS firearms, I just thought it would be quite a good idea to have any real steel knowledge all in the same place. ta. Hedganian
Seems like a good idea to me - I'll second that one

Samm
I think they were in those topics just because it was low key, having a new section is fairly noticable. Ahh perhaps the topics will get locked now. Fun.

Desolation mkII
I have to ruin the atmosphere here and say that while the current threads have been fairly good at not breaking the rues, I suspect if there was a subforum, and therefor many more threads, that the rules would be broken much more. Much like having a subforum about anime would get many of the threads closed because of 4chan memes, becaus epeople know if one thread gets closed another will be started up. evilliboba
That is true there. Maybe some of the enthusiasts would volunteer to be a local mod for the section? I wouldn't mind keeping you wipper-snappers in line.

101matt1
I'd be in for it. If help is needed I can help out some with editing too.
joeking27
I'm gonna give this one a big no. Although there is an off topic section for stuff that doesn't relate directly to airsoft, this is still an airsoft forum. Some aspects of real steel is interesting, but that's already covered with the threads that are going on, even if the bit in the rules about no ballistics and such get ignored. I'm sure there are much better places to discuss real firearms than a toy gun forum.
CeruleanSentinel
No. Why? These two things should be kept as separate as possible as not to confuse an already confusing issue. Doing so could get this sport unduly lumped together with real steel politics and that is something none of us would want. Maybe a real steel accessories sub-forum or something. A place to talk about real steel add-on type goodies.
SilentScope
I think the technical section handles RS parts mods pretty well
Hoppum
What's with the the current need to have a sub forum for everything? If you want to talk about real steel firearms then go to a real steel forum.
Sledge
Word. There's a forum for The Box O' Truth which would probably handle most people's RS needs, for instance. Now a Transformers subforum, on the other hand...
Desolation mkII
Hai gaiz, how about we have a forum where we can all post 4chan threads?
SilentScope
We should just take every topic in existence, make a subforum about it and have Arnies be the center of the internet Think of the viewership / ad revenue
Drspoon3
i should have my own sub forum for being so damn awsome
Sale
I don't think a real steel subforum is necessary. They can be discussed to the relevant extent in the topics about their airsoft versions, and any further discussion is simply off topic. -Sale
hardboiledcop
I think you're all mistaking my motivation, it's only because of the large amount of RS threads in off-topic that I suggested this, and it was only a suggestion.
