well for the first one it is actually a .50 modified to fire a .60 calibre projectile. quite insane :P

No it's not, it would be a .600 Nitro Express, in fact the .50BMG was invented after the .600NE.

The second one is a neat little .45ACP sub gun, uses a unique bolt to reduce recoil.

KRISS Super V System - Their shooting stance is something to be desired. They are standing like a constipated duck. You bring the weapon up to your shooting height, not lower yourself to the height you are holding it at. If a British squaddie held a weapon like that on a range, he'd be seeing the wrong side of his CSM. Amateurs.

Apart from that it's a really interesting idea they have with the KRISS, a sort of extended pistol as it were, although I couldn't help but think of a P90 that already offers the same basic idea - a weapon of low profile and compactability. Surely they could just modify the caliber and play about with the recoil effects to something more suited to LE use?

Well they could, but the P90 would be a little bigger I think, and it would take a LOT of modifications to get the system inside it.

Like the guy in the video said, the WHOLE point of this SMG is to change the recoil mechanism so that instead of forcing back and up, it goes down through the arms.

Mind you, if you're going for ^^ accuracy from VV recoil - then why have a barrel that's only like 2-3 inches long? Maybe the system would be better suited to semi-auto rifles for hunting or marksman?

Recoil has practically no effect on the accuracy of a semi-automatic weapon. Doing it to a subgun makes perfect sense, as subguns are generally supposed to be fired fully-automatically, rather than semi-automatically.

The current preferred method of making fully-automatic rifles and man-pack LMGs is to drop the rate of fire significantly. Apparently, the SCAR-Heavy is one of the most controllable, if not the most controllable, 7.62mm NATO-chambered fully-automatic rifles... and given that the cited competition is the G3, FN FAL, and M14... that pretty much covers them all.
