Maekl
So after I upgraded my aep with a stronger spring, I found out the 7,2V's were incapable of pulling the spring. Since I have decided to stay away from lipos I started thinking of making a batterybox diguised to laser unit to fit a NiMh mini battery inside. By the way, 11mm wide vsr10 upgrade springs fit aeps after shorteninng them. : D I discovered this few days ago. So there is a way to upgrade and aep to 300fps and maybe even over.. but I'll stay at max 260. So I starded out by making a template. Then I cut the parts out of a 1mm thick aluminium sheet I had lying around... with scissors And after sanding I glued them together with chemical metal. So 4 of the mini cells fit the battery box, and the rest will go inside the original battery space. The tools on the backround are all I used to cut and shape the parts. Then I added some details and paint. Now I just have to way until I get the battery cells... : P

teflon don
nice it would have been alot smaller with a lipo and you would still have room left to fit a laser

Gooberz
Reminds me of the thing they added to the FN Five-seveN for Battlestar Galactica:
ED-SKaR
Looks allright, nice simple custom job done well. Now you will start to make your own guns like me
DesertFoxRomel
Great job there mate So what did you use to bond the aluminum together? Do you mind telling us the brand name and cost for reference? Edit: Is it JB Weld? http://giantleaprocketry.com/images/JBWeld.jpg
maverick343432
Turned out better than I thought it would. May I suggest some weathering? Just to match it to the USP.
Maekl
Thanks for the comments ! : ) I used plastic padding chemical metal to bond the aluminium together. When it hardens it feels like metal to touch and is extremely durable. I painted the slide to match the battery box and I modded it to fit 100 round long mags.
Maekl
Does it need a silencer?
teflon don
yes it does it will make that box look smaller and it will attract less attention
DesertFoxRomel
It needs a suppressor and glue the lens of a cheap flashlight to the front to make it look like a LAM unit, or put in a laser with grub screw zeroing knobs. Thanks for the info, I'm going to look for chemical metal at my hardware store
nieb15
Great job on the battery box, looks great. I'd say get a silencer, but lose the extended magazine, it kind of ruins the look.
Maekl
I really like how it looks like with the extended magazine, so I'm keeping it. I have the silencer that came with the gun, but its waaay too small, so Im going to mod it a bit.
