heroshark
I know this was flagged up a good while ago and I know it's not a 6mm but we had the same thing happen with the webley. Hope to see a 6mm version soon. http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/Smith-Wesson-M-P-R8-co2-177-Air-Pistol-Black_A1B74J.aspx?nh=218901#.VOWz3PmsWSo
scorch
That would be nice. Spotted it on The Walking Dead the other night. I'm sure the show started before the R8 was released.
renegadecow
If that's the same as the one by Umarex, it's been around a while, around 2012 I think when it first came out. If they do make a 6mm version of it I just wish they do away with the clip system as practical as that is for skirmishing. No telling who the actual OEM is though.
heroshark
I quite like the clips tbh quick to reload and refill ,my WG uses them.
renegadecow
Might very well be Win Gun then. This clips look identical.
heroshark
Do look similar although I think they may be bigger ,the R8 cylinder looks bigger than The Dan Wesson's .
BigAl
Would be nice far better than that *suitcasey* Win Gun thing, bizarrely enough Milspec have special ordered some of the Win Gun with Smith & Wesson Trades on, though they got caliber wrong.
paranoiddroid
That's pretty
Horsem4n
Do look similar although I think they may be bigger ,the R8 cylinder looks bigger than The Dan Wesson's . the R8 is bigger than the dan wessons. its an 8 shot .357 mag, so the cylinder is about the same size as a .500 mag. they are both like what, N frame revolvers? BigAl
The Dan Wessons would be more akin to an L Frame than an N, at least the .357 ones would be. The bigger ones i.e. the .44's .445's a .357 Maximum's would be more akin to the N and X frames respectively. They where lovely guns far ahead of there time, very accurate and with interchangeable barrels. Sadly know they are just another run of the mill double action revolver iirc. renegadecow
Looking more closely, the Umarex R8 is indeed larger than the 8-shot, clip fed Win Gun aka "Dan Wesson". On the R8 the rounds are widely spaced emulating the much larger cylinder on an N frame whereas on the WG they're squeezed next to each other and share the same exact external dimensions as the 6-shot, cartridge fed version. Another particular thing to note is how they managed to make the hump behind the cylinder less pronounced than the Win Gun so the internals are obviously different. That and the fact that Win Gun has their own "R8” (I'll leave you to Google it yourselves as I'll want to gouge out my eyes if I see it again) which is the same old Dan Wesson with a different barrel. Change the barrel again and as if by magic it becomes a Ruger Redhawk. It such a shame when classic firearms companies like these seem there name to go on generic piece of *suitcase* guns that look nothing like there own products.
steelfallenangel
Doesn't iron Airsoft make a mbk for tanaka revolvers that mimics the r8?
BigAl
If they make one for a Tanaka its probably for the Tanaka R8.
steelfallenangel
Yea that's the one cept I think it has the top rail molded into the frame. Always wanted to make it but the base gun isn't too cheap or common and the mbk is just as bad.
Gunnman
Besides the Tanaka maybe beautiful, but it's far from powerful. This one is not as bad looking as other revolvers but it's not really exact either. Blah
renegadecow
That's what Snowman warned of me before which ended in my not buying one. Little did I know then that all it takes is a 4mm drill and a #003 o-ring to bring it back to speed.
