All you need to do is suggest that it's the ACU, not the fighting in Iraq, that's harming the Army's recruiting numbers. And, let's be frank, if your nation is in the midst of a shooting war, are you going to join the branch where your clothing is fugly anti-camouflage or the branch with a kickass public image and cool-looking and effective camouflage? If the Army wanted something that doesn't work as camouflage, they should have bought blue uniforms instead of the ACU. At least they would have looked good enough to keep recruiting numbers up....
