Hite
Hey all, As i was browsing G&G's site i noticed their banner showed a g-96 (aka L96). Coming soon apparently. Cant find any details on the site itself, but it does seem like they're making an L96. hope its new news Hite
Stealthbomber
Have G&G ever made a gun that wasn't an AEG before? I know idle speculation is a bad thing but, after 10 years of manufacturing AEGs, G&G are still not that terrific at it. What's the chances that they'll be able to produce a decent sniper rifle (something that needs to be accurate and reliable above all else) on their first attempt? Mercedes are a pretty decent car manufacturer but look what happened the first time they tried to make a front-wheel-drive vehicle! It'll be a braver man than me who buys this first. Hite
Tis very true, though, if its a spring rifle, surley thats a little easier to produce than a aeg, less thing to go wrong. Though i suppose things have to be more accurately made.
Pinkfloyd
Is it just me or did I hear something about this 3 months ago...?

PlasticMag
after 10 years of manufacturing AEGs Wait, what? I was under the impression that they weren't that old. Also, this is fairly old news, I think it was announced two IWAs ago?

Stealthbomber
Wait, what? I was under the impression that they weren't that old. Probably right. Maybe 5 years or so. Funny thing is, it seems like CA have been around for ages but I guess, in reality, they were only producing cr*ppy Colt trademarked M4s for about a year before they gave up and then, a while later, started producing their current range of M15s. In any case, In the time it took CA to go from being awful to being better than average G&G have gone from being utterly awful to, erm, still being fairly awful. Pretty much everything I've ever seen of G&Gs have been lousy; Guns, parts, accessories. You name it. I can't really imagine them suddenly becoming geniuses at building sniper rifles. PlasticMag
Their RK series is pretty good, minus the tendency of the receivers to break... >_<
Stealthbomber
Their RK series is pretty good, minus the tendency of the receivers to break... >_< Well, that's alright then.
PlasticMag
Yeah. In all fairness, the following products are ones I would consider GOOD from G&G, having used them: RK100 series M9 threaded barrel (for KSC, and the only aftermarket one made with threading) SS-80 and SS-100 silencers AK metal hopup Their MP5 series Their current M14s All in all, they could be doing far worse. oldman1980
I agree with Plasticmag, G&G has come up with some good product that I too have used, not all of these prior listed but alot of them none the less. They are improving, slowly but surely.
sparco7777
It is coming out,it was confirmed at shot show.
Warning
perhaps with the simplicity of a bolt action weapon, might actually make them get it right
AustinWolv
Funny thing is, it seems like CA have been around for ages but I guess, in reality, they were only producing cr*ppy Colt trademarked M4s for about a year before they gave up and then, a while later, started producing their current range of M15s. Should mention CA made ######-poor MP5s prior to the awful M4s that had multiple versions until it was canned, as you mentioned, for the M15 line. Their MP5s improved sometime around that timeframe also. G&G AR series externals have always been pretty nice.
Kristoffer
My money is on the guess that the G&G rifle is a more or less cloned Tanaka. They allready make the (power)bolt, some parts for the mag, hop-up rubber, and a couple of different outer barrels. It would make sense to make a complete rifle using these parts.
