IronWolf
Retailer currently selling them Extract from airsoft-news.eu : First pictures of King Arms' FN FAL conversion kit surfaced thanks to 2Roy. This kit is on preorder, price is listed as 565,000 Won (466.94 EUR). Caveat regarding pricing in Asia/Korea/Europe and USA still stands. Kit certainly looks good and price is reasonable. I wonder what the base gun is, Possibly a G3 variant?
1st Commando
oh man i thought i had made my list of final purchases. very nice find mate
Duff Beer
I would have thought so as the two are very similar cosmetically. It could also be for armalites as an M4 could probably be rigged into it.
MistorPie
Wow, would that be almost 600 USD for that kit? edited for correctness.
1st Commando
i would like to think they have set it up for a V3 gearbox maybe even the SIG SG 552 or similar
Frangible
Mmmmm.... nice....
1st Commando
466EU is not equal to $900US it is $598 ish or £
screamin_weasel
i wonder what magazines its gonna use ? unless they bring out specific ones. G3 ones woudl look a bit ###### in a FAL, and M14 ones are too short.
1st Commando
it looks like they have their own mags as one is supllied with the kit
Duff Beer
That looks like a Famas mag or a VN
screamin_weasel
the gun was 7.62 wasnt it ? so it wont be VN or FAMAS mag. the only 7.62 mags available at present that are even close are M14, G3, SR25.
1st Commando
the M14 mags are close but after measuring them against real SLR mags they are shorter and narrower as SW said ! the M16vn or Famas mags are completely the wrong size as the FAL was a rifle that was around when we had real bullets not this 5.56mm plinker stuff
LeMongelo
I would have thought so as the two are very similar cosmetically. It could also be for armalites as an M4 could probably be rigged into it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They had this on display at the last '06 Blackhole show (I thought Fareast would have a review of the show by now...wonder what happened). They told me it's for the Marui SG552.
Lance Jackass
FN FAL = L1A1 SLR yes? Well i'm sore now. But why a sig!
1st Commando
slr has slightly differant muzzle than the FAL and was semi only but yes same basic gun ! the SLR came firstly with wood grips and later on black plastic ones both version had solid stocks
1st Commando
oh yes the Sig lower frame is very similar in dimensions to the FAL
Jett
Well it'll certainly make Marui happy. They can finally begin to shift the shed-loads of 552's that must be lying around their HQ!
fal
on the website it says it will be released after November in HongKong. I expect price would be lower than this website. Somewhere around 300~400ish. Korean airsoft market is always more expensive than HongKong internetshops such as WGC. For instance, In Korea, TM New M4 usualy costs around about 450USD, while in WGC it is only around 240USD. It also says KA will release gearbox for this kit, which is SIG series gearbox type. doc_newstead
I was almost excited, until I saw the price. I think it would be slightly cheaper to build a time machine, go back to the 70's, get fit, and then sign up. Ah balls to that; where's my credit card?
MistorPie
It does look awosme.......
IronWolf
I think its quite competitively priced considering its a whole kit containing original components such as the reciever, etc (compared to say, the HurricanE HK416 kit).
LeMongelo
FN FAL = L1A1 SLR yes? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sort of...there are certain differences. On a side note, the FAL was made by FN while the L1A1 was by Enfield RSAF (lic by FN). If anyone cares the KA model is a replica of the 50-00 and 50-63 (with a solid stock), not an L1A1. Lance Jackass
Close enough - why the sig lower though - surely you can buy a sig gearbox and a metal sig lower rather than the whole gun?
siege_bison
So do we reckon this will be around before the bill? Another thread on this:- http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...70616&hl=fn+fal
IronWolf
Close enough - why the sig lower though - surely you can buy a sig gearbox and a metal sig lower rather than the whole gun? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Judging from the pictures, I don't think you need a sig lower reciever (please correct me if i'm wrong)
