  1. The replacement rail from WGC arrived today. The fit and finish of the main rail is what I expect from a DYTAC product. The barrel nut spins freely in the rail body and the finish is complete with no bare spots. A full revision of the review will be posted this weekend. -Piano
  2. Is the Gun Cip Five-seveN compatible or are those mags in the TACOs just to fill them out? -Piano
  3. @Desert Fox- Which micro red dot clone did you go with? I'm thinking about going that route for my first TM GLOCK build in a couple of months (to be funded by selling off all my extended magazines). I have a Boom Arms Shuey Custom slide sitting around that I was planning on using, but I might part with it and go with either a hybrid or compensated design. -Piano
  4. Go with the TM series, frogfish. They're a superior internal design and the aftermarket part selection is definitely better. The only reason I haven't is that I have too much invested into my KSC/KWA collection (G17, G18, G18C, G34, 9 standard, & 5 extended magazines). -Piano
  5. WGC has shipped the replacement rail to me and now I am awaiting its arrival. Hopefully DYTAC took the time to correct their manufacturing process for all of their TRX Extreme Rails, which might explain the lack of them on the market. -Piano
  6. For all those with the VFC silencer and flash hider set, has anybody ran a longer inner barrel through it? If so, which one and how tightly did it fit in the FH? Thanks, -Piano
  7. I very much approve of your guns & coffee patch. As for a recommendation for a holster, it seems that the holsters designed for the GLOCK 20/21, which has a wider slide than the 17, are compatible with the TM GLOCK 17. I'm looking at a Side-Armor holster for my stable of GLOCKs (including the one I recently purchased from you) and will let you know how it is when it arrives. -Piano
  8. What length TRX is that, BBM? -Piano
  9. Is that an EOG helmet weight? If so, how do you like it? -Piano
  10. *Update* I contacted WGC Shop about the problems faced with the DYTAC rail and they passed the message onto DYTAC. Several weeks later, I was contacted by WGC and informed that they would be sending me a replacement rail and to hold onto the barrel nut. As soon as this arrives, I'll update the review. -Piano
  11. Is that a newer bipod mount? Mine doesn't have the NSN printed on it, just the logo on the bottom, but it was purchased in 2008. -Piano
  12. They appear to be some sort of cable clamp, either nylon or metal. -Piano
  13. Troy Industries TRX Extreme Battlerail 11" (Black) & DYTAC TRX Extreme Battle Rail 11" (Black) Comparison. Troy Industries on top, DYTAC replica below. Table of Contents: Introduction. Troy Industries TRX Extreme Battlerail 11" (Black). DYTAC TRX Extreme Battle Rail 11" (Black). Comparison. Conclusion. 1. Introduction. Troy Industries' TRX (Troy Receiver Extension) Extreme Battlerail is a monolithic, free-floating rail that offers a continuation of the upper receiver rail. it is available in two different colors, black and dark earth and in several different lengths. 14. OSOE Rallyman Patrol Vest. Has some pretty interesting pouch designs capable of holding M4, M14, and AK/SR47 magazines. -Piano
  15. MSA MICH 2000 based upon an Army SF helmet from 2009. I added the OPS-Core rails as the 2010 model would be anachronistic and wasn't present in the picture. -Piano
  16. Scuffer- Thanks, after seeing pictures of a friend's SR47 with a URX, I figured that I'd try something other than the included free-float system. I'm going with a PTS UBR stock once a buddy of mine gets them in stock. I might go with an A2 grip or the MIAD, but I need to know how the Polarstar HPA gasbox is designed (AEG vs GBB compatible grips?) before I track that part down. As for why I went for the SR47 front and 300m folding rear, it's a combination of economic, realistic, and aesthetic factors. I wanted to get all three parts from the same retailer which turned out to be WGC, tho
  17. Just a mock up of things to come. Hurricane SR47 Kit DYTAC TRX 11" Hurricane SR47 Front Sight VFC KAC 300m Rear Sight I plan on getting a Madbull/Noveske KX3 and running a shorter barrel along with a UBR stock. Once the Polarstar kit comes out, I'll decide on what pistol grip to get. -Piano
  18. I have a KSC G18C with a PGC G18 slide set and a KWA G18C with the G18C set. I had no issued at all installing them. -Piano
  19. I have quite a few pictures of Army SF folks using RBAVs. As for other units, I can neither confirm nor deny. -Piano
  20. It appears to have been made for an eBay seller. -Piano
  21. Their 3 DAP and SATL are the ones that initially come to mind, but a couple of their NICE packs also have been seen. -Piano *edit* If you're looking to run a MR pack over armor, look for one with their BVS (Bolster Ventilation and Stability system). According to a friend of mine who was deployed to Afghanistan, it works better on a carrier than the standard versions.
  22. Hey all, I'm the proud owner of a complete SR47 kit and was thinking about replacing the stock KAC free-float rail with another make/model. I've been suggested the TRX Battle Rail and like what USCM's done with his, but I don't want to clone it. Any suggestions? -Piano
  23. Blade-Tech makes some but they might be standard plastic: http://www.blade-tech.com/Double-Magazine-Pouch-with-Tek-Lok-pr-863.html Just scroll through the drop down menu. You might be able to contact Sidearmor and see if they're making pouches. I'm trying to figure out which holster I want from them. -Piano
  24. Mayflower HK417 Recce Chest Rig Patagonia Slingshot Softshell Jacket How high (or low) do most of you wear your chest rigs? I haven't worn one in a while and was wondering what worked best for others. -Piano
  25. I look forward to seeing it. I'm moving from armor carriers to plate carriers and both the SOHPC and Mayflower PC appeal to me. -Piano
