  1. Keep in mind that a lot of us simply like the look of an EOTech sight and this is cheapest way to give that look to our gun.
  2. Wow, nice review, thanks. It's nothing I'll ever be able to afford to own and probably nothing I'll ever see in person, so it's cool to get to read about it in this detail. I love the design of GBB airsoft guns - so much closer to the real steel.
  3. Yeah, but their prices include shipping and I doubt shipping from Gunner is only going to cost me $8. Thanks
  4. Sorry to keep prodding with questions, but do these look like the same googles you have? Same box and everything? http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.php?cPa...;products_id=90 I figure that'd save me a decent amount of money as opposed to ordering from Gunner and paying for shipping to the US.
  5. Got a link? I've been looking for a good pair of goggles for the next time I skirmish. I'm sick of my paintball mask fogging, not to mention how difficult it makes it to use my P90's reflex sight without completely tilting my head. Although I guess that's a moot point now, as the first game I fielded the sight was also the last. We were trying to take a long hallway in CQB in a night game and I happened to have a flashlight mounted on my P90's rail, so I stuck the gun around the corner so our SAW gunner could suppress. Of course out of the very few shots they took before retreating to cov
  6. Don't take it personally. I don't really know your reputation around here and I was just making sure you were aware. A lot of people don't seem to realize the danger of lasers and as a result risk harming someone's vision without knowing they're putting anyone at risk. I was hit directly in the eye by a 10mW laser which washed my vision over with green for a moment, then it went black, and then I could see again with the exception of a spot that disappeared a few hours later. It was pretty scary to have that happen from something just barely hitting me like that. So I just wanted to provi
  7. Alright, just checking man. Just wanted to be sure. I've seen kids talking about how cool they are because they have a visible beam green laser on their gun putting out 30mW of power. They don't seem to realize that they're putting people's vision directly at risk from so much as a mere reflection. Good to see you're not one of the people who treat high-powered lasers like toys.
  8. Tilteist, like I said, it doesn't need to be for thirty seconds to cause eye damage. How many mW of IR light is that thing putting out? Regarding 20mW 532nm visible lasers at least, eye damage can occur before the blink reflex can occur if the eye is hit directly.
  9. IR lasers aren't visible to the human eye. As a result, the blink reflex isn't triggered and people don't realize how much IR they're receiving. That 30 second figure only applies to low mW ratings of IR output. I personally own several lasers and some of the higher end ones can significantly harm your vision from just the IR light which spreads unlike the visible light.
  10. You're aware that IR can cause significant eye damage and any visible laser which is bright enough to be worth using in daylight can also cause significant eye damage, correct? If you're turning on real lasers in skirmishes, there's a real risk of hurting someone's vision.
  11. I rather like the Illustrator one. Don't know if it's "artistic," but I like it. Regarding yours, get rid of that muzzle flash and it's awesome. Muzzle flashes don't look like that in daylight, much less froma suppressed weapon.
  12. Wow, you UK airsofters are so lucky you have such a strong community for airsoft there. Although, on the downside, you have to put up with that VCRA ######. Over here, at least in my part of the US, there's absolutely nowhere like that to play airsoft. It's a real shame because it looks like you guys have a hell of a good time based on those pictures. I've always wanted to visit the UK, guess that's even more motivation for me to go eventually.
  13. omg y duz it mater 2 u so much Kidding. Good point - a bit long-winded, but I'm guilty of doing the exact same thing pretty often. I think they need to install something that makes it so by default when you quote a picture it gets turned into a link instead of the original image. I know I saw a mod like that somewhere. Very cool feature.
  14. Why do I use colored camo on my weapons in CoD4? 1. It makes little to no difference in terms of visibility. You don't stick out any more than you would with any other paint job. 2. If I've gotten that many headshots, I like to have something to show for it rather than let my reward just sit there. Yes, it's an ugly trophy, but it's still a trophy. 3. I actually like the look of the blue on some of the guns. Also, ACOG FTW on the M16. Ever since the patch it's been worth using. Oh, and Call of Duty 4 is NOT a realistic game. I love the game and I've always been a CoD fan, but i
  15. Heh, first thing I thought of when I saw this was "oooh... Army of Two style." Glad to see I wasn't alone.
  16. Double Eagle M81 and CYMA CM.030 I know the slide's a mess, it's going to be sand blasted and then painted.
  17. Excellent review, the writing itself is noticeably better than a lot of text on the internet. I've been tempted to get one of these myself once i finish my AK-47. So all that wear and modification to the finish was done with steel wool alone?
  18. The suppressor on mine is only for display inside the house or target shotting in the backyard. It gets replaced by the normal muzzle break for actual skirmishing because the whole reason I bought a SOC16 is I wanted something more maneuverable without accidentally smacking the barrel into a tree.
  19. More in the M14 thread for those interested.
  20. Pretty happy with the body so far but I will get around to custom painting it sometime in the future. Also, the wood needs work.
  21. Thanks man, I'm really interested in picking up one for myself now assuming I can keep my job long enough to afford it. When you ordered the parts from Unco, how did you go about having the trademarks dealt with? I know putty is recommended, but I worry about it leaving marks on something that nice and yours appears to be in perfect shape.
  22. That thing is absolutely gorgeous. I've never had such a strong urge to buy a Glock. What'd that set up cost you altogether (and where'd you get it from) and what parts are you using? Looks like the Shooter's Design slide and barrel and you say you polished the silver barrel down to give it that chrome look? It's stunning. I'd probably wind up having to throw down the extra money for a Guarder frame though, I'm OCD about trademarks.
