I left it alone for now, but I plan on switching to a full size stock in the future. I'm waiting for the chance to checkout the CA and Star versions in person. I've checked out the G&P before, it is really solid, but it's color is a very bad match and it only has one of the two latches that the stock one has. If the CA or Star versions are as strong and have both latches, I'll probably get one of those. I'd like to use real one, but they are hard to come by and difficult to fit from what I hear.

Well I was mostly kidding, but its just there will be a ton of them out there that will look just like mine, but will have cost way less and no effort will have been made to make them look that way. Such is life though. It doesn't really matter, it will still have meaning for me. I'll always know how much time, effort, and expense went into mine. I'll consider it... but thats a pretty odd looking mount with the spacer in. I do like the Arms QD mechanism though. I'll have to look for a pic of it in use with an AimPoint.

Eh, not really. Never really see them for sale, and I like the way this one works for me. I know it. I just hope someone makes a replica at some point, or that I can find one of those aluminum ones that guy on HkPro used to make. They aren't exactly right, but better than using the Star flat top rail. Meh. Its a compromise so I can use the sight on both my G36K and my M4. The L mount is correct for the M4 and will look better than the canti mount on my G36. Maybe one day I'll buy a second one and solve the problem for good. The SAS kit wouldn't work with this gun. None of the Hi-Capa parts that attach using the Hi-Capa's rail mounting points will work. The Armotech has an integrated rail, instead of an optional one, so there is no place to mount them.

That's what the 'assist' in Ready-Team-Fire-Assist is for. Rear security! Teamwork is the key (especially) to urban fighting.

I really like this forum compared to the others I've lurked or posted on. The atmosphere is much better, the people are knowledgeable and helpful overall, and the debate is lively and entertaining. The one big problem for me it the one Joule limit, speaking as someone not subject to it. There are projects and technical issues I'd like to be able to discuss here, both in terms of sorting issues with my own guns or just improving their performance to be on par with my stateside competition. The bottom line is, if I have a problem with on of my guns, I may very well not be able to seek help

Mine auto-refreshes, I'm using Safari. At first it was a bit annoying seeing the status bar flash out of the corner of my eye, but now it doesn't bother me, really. Might be nice if it was less frequent.

Mmmm... that HK M4 is nice... I feel some questions coming on. How do you like the body, and who makes it? How does it break down, does it hinge open like the real steel or slide off like Classic Army bodies? Does the charging handle open the 'bolt' to reveal the hop up adjustment properly? How do mags fit in it and which ones work best? Can you post any pics of it field stripped? Also, does anyone make the proper RAS for it, like the one shown in this picture: For reference: HK416 PDF

Nope, no steaming/fogging 99% of the time. It comes with a thermal lense. I've had it steam up a litte when I've played in the rain when it was warm out, but thats about it. Here's a larger picture. The ear protection is designed to be swapped on and off, so there's no permanent modification involved...

Yep, thats me. I'm using a JT Spectra Thermal mask with a replica SPEAR MICH TC-2000 helmet. The mask's ear covers must be poped off for it to work with the helmet, but thats no touble to do. The innner barrel I'm using is about 2cm too long for the outer barrel, so the last bit needs to poke out into the prongs of the flash hider. In order to do this, I had to drill out the flash hider so the barrel would be able to fit (The inner diameter is otherwise to tight and the inner barrel cannot go into the hider). Basically I had to widen the hole a tick. Its unfortuneate that I needed to do th

Thats the one. It's a nice set. I did have to drill out the flash hider a little bit to fit the 363mm inner barrel I'm using. Not a big deal though, took two seconds.
