  1. So I'm ill at home, bored and haven't had a chance to get my TAD Battle Hoodie dirty yet so thought I'd take a look at how it fits into my normal loadout. Fail of picture taking as it's on a timer thus badly focused and in my hallway thus deeply uninteresting. 7. Could just be a case of allowing the current hardware more bandwidth/connections (depending on how the hosting works) anyway which means nothing would need to be touched. We're thinking too deeply about this anyway. If Arnies is beginning to creak under the weight the only thing we as users can contribute is a bit of cash. With all the gallery hosting and the like we get quite a bit for nothing so it seems like a no brainer.
  8. I'd have thought Arnies was run on rented hardware in a data-centre somewhere so there shouldn't be an initial outlay and a relatively steady stream of donations might mean a better deal could be had. As I say it works for other forums I'm on. At the end of the day it needs Marlowe or Arnie to say yay or nay as it's just a suggestion.
  9. Paypal donations? I'd sling a few quid towards maintaining Arnies and I'm sure some of the other people here would as well. It's certainly how a number of other sites manage to self-fund.
  10. The number of open tabs makes zero difference (unless they are serving up ads dynamically) if you were going to browse those ten threads anyway when you open them is pretty irrelevant especially in the scheme of things with many people requesting many different threads over a sustained period of time. Also depending on usage patterns using non-tabbed browsing might result in more requests (e.g. going back and forward between topics and the topic list). If everyone had ten tabs open and is refreshing them all at a high rate then it might be an issue although modern web servers should be able to

  12. How about for project threads and reviews having the original topic posted that only the original author(s) update and then a separate topic for comment. That way updates appear in chronological order, close together in the project/review topic and all the chatter is kept in another thread. Would require a bit of moderation to get it working smoothly, mostly deleting/moving chatter from the review/project threads. As a side bonus it wouldn't require extra plugins or the like to be installed. Topics could then be setup by the original author of the review/project thread as. "My uber l

  14. Yes! Although it's the North Sea so a bit cold!
  15. Went out for a quick (six mile) walk today round Tentsmuir near Dundee. It was below 0C and cold enough that there was evidence of the water freezing at high tide which you can see in the first photo. All of these were snapped on my crappy mobile phone so apologies for the quality.
  16. So says Blarney queen of the anti-stud board.
  17. TAD Force 10 'Legionnaire' Trousers in OD (they got the normal Force 10s back instock after my order shipped! Grr!) and a TAD Flux Hoodie. Both as bombproof as you'd expect from TAD. The hoodie is especially awesome and much less flimsy in real life than it looks on the website.
  18. How'd that happen!? Reversing?
  19. Why is her watch blacked out? o_O
  20. With legs like that? I'm going for lamp originally!
