The packaging was really awful--the box was so flimsy that everything spilled into the shipping bag but luckily the only result was some chipped paint on the bolt. My mag lips are also taking damage from the chamber, and the hop rubber came with a tear right in the mound. Plus the lockback doesn't work. There may not be a brass tube but you can still tell it's a WE. I forgot that I only had three working green gas mags (and eight that leak from the top valve). Think I'll be alright using CO2 mags in the Southern California summer, or am I inviting more destruction?

That screwdriver is brilliant. Did you also make a PMAG speedloader? Airsoft Buddy restocked their magazine conversion kits, and I just received ten of them so it looks I'll be skirmishing with my WE M4 this weekend.

That's cool, I was mostly just curious if their "also fits AEG" barrels worked in the WE M4. And about the issues you're having with your gun--did you use a steel upgraded hammer from your old closed bolt gun? The roller in the open bolt hammer is narrower than the original, and offset slightly to one side. The open bolt M4 kit from BBDragon showed up today; there is a two inch metal rod and a tiny bit of rubber in the kit that I'm not sure what to do with, but otherwise it went together nicely.

My open bolt M4 kit is already in LA customs--BB Dragon is legit for sure. Of course they listed the CQBR kit I needed moments after mine shipped. Still looking for a source for the short inner barrel and mag conversion kits.

Thanks for the heads up; their site is a complete disaster but I was eventually able to place an order as a guest (registration wasn't working); I was sent to Paypal by the site to pay for my goods, and received an email request for the shipping fee twenty minutes later. FYI it was $32 for EMS to the USA for one $75 kit, I wasn't given an airmail option. So besides the mag kits I still need an open bolt CQBR barrel; is there another option besides RAtech?

Who still has M4 magazine conversion kits in stock?

Excellent choice of shells; I've been thinking about getting one of those launchers and yours isn't helping. I'm guessing the long "shocker" shells won't fit?

That looks a lot like my old Magpul gun, especially after I painted it: It sucks that I missed out on LCX; I'm still stuck working out of town and having major airsoft withdrawal.

Thanks; I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with the results. It's kinda nasty looking since I didn't have proper tools (just used a soldering torch, toaster oven, Dremel, and aviation shears). Having the weapon swing forward might be a better idea, since you avoid issues with the scope and can shroud the trigger. The key was using the thickest Kydex, reheating and pressing the top clip deeply into the groove in the receiver, reshaping it with the gun removed for plenty of tension, and forming "wings" to aid in guiding it into the clips. Sell it to me and buy a T-1; I think the stock aimpoint mount is the lowest you can get an RDS.

Has anyone seen this stock adapter before? It looks like it might fit my Cyma AK104--then it's folding UBR time.

Not sure, but since I haven't seen the kits anywhere I'm inclined to think it's new and direct from WE. Seems like a modified gun would cost more to include the price of the original, kit, and labor. Also, I'm not too familiar with ASG's practices so this might be a pre-listing for all I know. Yes, and yes--you flip a switch on the mag and you are in "empty firing mode", so BB or no BB the bolt will not catch. Whether it catches in "normal" mode is another story.
