As for magazines, I'd go detonator way, include one with the kit, use full-sizes as backups.

So what? stuff sticking out of bond's pants/jacket/w/e is nothing out of the ordinary. I don't really like the slide-mounted safety either (oh the irony, I love my PX4...)
