finally go round to taking a proper photo. JG G36k with a Kahki/brown paint job, didn't quite get the lighting right, looks better in real life (i know everyone says that! when they take a photo of their paint job )

My first foray into the world of G36's and Painting. I'll get some better pics later, still not sure what to do with the flash hider/outer barrel, to paint or not to paint, that is the question!

Your silencer is a bit less than straight then, either chuck it or get a longer inner barrel.

Cheap E-bay wood, cost around £30 posted Its not bad, nothing like the wood on a real steel AK, but certainly nicer than having the usual plastic. only problem with it is that you can't get a large battery in the stock (so for this gun i'm using stick batts in the top) But i'm going to get my mate who is a dab hand with a chisel to sort it.

Terrible picture quality, but the missus appears to have nicked my Digi cam again Anyhoo, here's the current family of black/synthetic furniture AKs ; Top - ICS AK74M (got it today ) Middle - TM AK47 with KA AK74M furniture and a longer spetznaz front end Bottom - CYMA AK47s (with most parts swaped for TM) with a spetz front

just get a KA set, its pretty cheap, and you can swap it about as you like

Yeah, the spetz has a ribbed cover up to the rear sight. i use it, minus the sight for my 'poor mans AK74' and it looks a lot better than having a normal AK47 cover on.

mostly CYMA except for the TM spetznas front end and upper reciever. TM hop unit and a 6.04mm Tight barrel, and the spetz hand guards have a wood effect paint job i did a while ago.

Just messing about with my new CYMA and some bits i have in my AK box, i quite like it, it's light as a feather and looks not bad in my opinion (OK its no AK74SU but hey) I think i'm going to keep it like this and keep my other AK as a poor mans AK74M, just need the KA stock and some ICS Mags

Just had a full day skirmishing with my CYMA (with TM hop and systema barrel) it was really impressive. the motor and gear box sounds a bit more clunky than my TM, but for £100 i'm not going to moan, i'll be interested to see how long it lasts (my TM spetz has lasted 2 years and 150k rounds so far, so if it manages half that i'll be more than happy)

It was on the CYMA reciever, quickly removed it after i made sure the gun was working etc...

Got my CYMA today, pretty impressed for the amount it cost. i really like the faux wood, although i've stuck a AK74M set of grips on it just to see what it looks like. I've also swapped out some of the parts that i had TM ones spare lying about, as i preffer the finish of the TM bits. I gave it; TM front end KA Grips TM Hop unit TN 6.04mm barrel TM upper receiver TM Bolt (sprayed black) But i think i'm going to go back to the CYMA wood, just so i finally have a realistic AK rather than the mongrols i normally use

I think Snorkelman and a few others have swapped the VFC grips for Real steel AK74-SU grips with no modification needed for the bottom part and only minor alterations to the top grip.

I need to spend some time working out how to use that site, real steel PBS-1 for £17 ? I guess it's illegal to import though.

Woot, just ordered a CYMA AK47S, i love spontainious web purchases. does it actually have a metal lower receiver ? Anyway, to keep on topic heres a slightly better quality pic of my mongrol AK at the moment, she ain't too pretty, but that tightbore barrel really makes her shoot lovely. And for those wondering about the KA AK74 grips, they are amazing quality for the price, i'm just debating whether or not to get the 74 style stock or whether to go for a little folding stock project.

Marui, no harm done really anyway, its a two minute job to swap back to the spetz front end for some CQB'ing but i'm loving the extra accuracy the long TN barrel gives. its a fairly cheap way to keep me happy until ICS bring out an AKS74.

Camera phone apologies as usual... My Spetz has grown a bit thanks to the KA AK74 style grips, they were only $39 and they are pretty well made and look pretty nice. Just got to get the stock and a different flash hider to complete my poor mans AK74 (we just won't mention the reciever or the gas block)

Usual advanced appologies for camera phone shoddy-ness... just added the SAS kit the other day, not too sure if i like it. Certainly is a pig to holster.
