Sarge133
Hi everyone, I have been fighting with this for a long time. I just can't decide what to do with my HK416. In one hand I can get a Crane Stock. In the other I can get a KA Vltor Clubfoot Stock. And on my foot there is keep the PEQ and buy a G&P M500 flashlight. I am looking for your opinions on what I should do with this. I have looked into it for a long time, read every review I could find. But I just can't decide. Help?
Para Bellum
If you want to keep it simple get the crane stock. Personally, if I had the money, I would get the flashlight, a vertical foregrip, and some sort of optic (EOtech or AimPoint) and go the "tacticool" route.
Mr.Hyde
Agreed. Otherwise get the cranestock.
Sarge133
I've already got a Aimpoint and Vertical Grip for it. And I have a Surefire G2.
ghost_x3
Sell the PEQ! (You have PM, I'll take the PEQ + Batt!)
The Crunchy Bunny
Sell PEQ and get Vltor option FTW
crablegs
If there was a Sell PEQ, get a Prime crane stock I would have chosen that.
Sarge133
I wont have that much money. Looks like Vltor Stock wins.
Spartan452
*fruitcage* all that, get the hurricane HK416 crane stock, they are avaliable from evike I believe.
Sarge133
Battery my friend, battery. They be expensive. I would love to get the hurricane stock if not for the battery.
Sarge133
Ok, bottom option is gone. Just sold me PEQ and battery. Now to decide between G&P Crane, KA Vltor, and Hurricane 417 stocks. If someone can find a cheap battery for the Hurricane stock. Then I will go with that.
L.e.i.n.a.d
I'd stick with the original stock, 416 simply doesn't suit with any other stocks, just my personal thoughts anyway.
TheKurodaVagrant
Rear-wire it, get a Crane stock tube, then put a Lipo in there. Failing that, just get the G&P Crane stock. The 417 stock is fugly.

The 417 stock is fugly. What lipo fits in there? I've heard of stock tube lipos but never actually seen one. If I could do this with keeping the original stock with HK trades, I'd be in love. Could you give me links?
Hewes
Crane stock all the way, at least this way, it will look tactical while keeping it simple
Pariah_WP
If you are insane, as I am, you could mod the gun to work with a LiPo and run a tiny LiPo in the front without the PEQ. Still...a crane stock is really nice and once you have one you may find that they are more comfortable to you than the production stock.
Sarge133
I am thinking about going LiPo but with my lack of experience of them I want to put it in the stock tube. But I have no idea where to start in finding the stock tube, charger, and the right battery.
w00k1e
I voted crane.. cos i like 'em

Either of these are supposed to work: http://www.rsov.com/product_info.php?curre...products_id=972 http://www.rsov.com/advanced_search_result...fox&sort=4a I haven't attempted this modification (since I lack experience with Lipo batteries) but it would be a nice touch to a 416. I personally think they look best plain.
random guy
yh get the crane stock
Sarge133
What stock tube will they fit in? I dont want to have to put a rubber pad on my stock to hide the battery. Also, can someone put up a guide to proper care of Li-Polys? Expecially for a beginner like me. It looks like the Li-Poly is the way I'm going to go, I just want to make sure that it doesn't explode on me. Also, will I need to pick up a special charger for Li-Poly? As all I use is a simple wall charger. EDIT: Ok I got some things up to look at. Will these work? In the stocks I am looking mostly at the stock tubes. Will I be able to put the li-poly in the tube and be able to close the cap? http://www.rsov.com/product_info.php?cPath...products_id=447 http://www.rsov.com/product_info.php?cPath...products_id=379 http://www.rsov.com/product_info.php?cPath...products_id=466 http://www.rsov.com/product_info.php?products_id=1370

Sarge133
Alas, the battery for that stock is expensive. If you can find a relatively cheap battery for it then by all means I'll go for it.
Para Bellum
Isnt that the same as the JG stock? Why cant normal crane stock batteries fit in there?
